I saw monk at the Monterey jazz fest. I was 11 years old ,lam now 76 going on , never have the money to get all monk ever did on records. I will keep trying ! . Monk is and was musics best friend. I hope when I CrokeI have a sit write nest to the Man !!!!

I can only imagine how incredibly uncomfortable it must of been for these guys to trudge through performing/playing this engagement with he piano out of tune like it was... like, these guys had to be thinking "Good Lord... when will this gig be OVER... Please, God.. end the misery NOW!!" LOL Hey, it still kicked ass all the same.. true professionals to carry on so gracefully
