Looks like a nice day in the sun for that job. We hit 10 yesterday, supposed to be 8 or so again today and start cooling off tomorrow. Should be nice and sloppy around the corrals for weaning on Sunday.

Good morning BP and CP. Nice strong bale feeder. I've seen aluminium round bale feeders that are held together with two drop bolts. Designed for ease of movement, fine with sheep. Wouldn't like to say how long they will last with cattle. 👍

Ya the cows don’t care if it’s round or square cause most of the gage material ones start off as round and end up looking square or busted and hitting the scrap pile.

Nice job BP, I see most feeders' down pipes are welded on an angle from bottom to top, yours are straight, what is the reason for that angle pipes, hope described it correctly,
@bcpfarmandtrucking656011 ай бұрын
Basically lots of guys put angle pipes so one cow doesn't try putting her head in on top of another thats already there...but not to many feeders are built that way any more

@@bcpfarmandtrucking6560 angle is also to try to keep the cows from backing out with a mouth full of hay and dropping it on the ground. Saves a small percentage of waste.

I still think you make nice feeders! I did find out there's pipe in Oregon.. seems it's radioactive and has to be checked and of course low enough levels before you can buy it.. If you make 7x7, you'd use 6' more pipe and not waste anything wood..... 6x10 wouldn't waste wood either and would fit big bales🤔 Don't want to waste your wood 🤔

Once you hit a certain age, wasting wood is a bad deal………. Hahaha 🤣
