When I stopped at the Silver Moon on a trip from Dallas to Flagstaff, it somehow seemed to me that the place might have been embellishing it's historical importance to a certain extent. However, the food was f***in' awesome, and that's really what matters most, after all. 👍🙂

That's a fairly common by product of being on the Route. Very few places actually are connected to the original route. Very rare to find an owner or even a family that has always owned the place. Sanat Rosa has zero places to eat that were connected to the old Route. The last major place was the old Club Cafe, which closed over 20 years ago. Josephs, however, which is next to it ripped off the famous 'Fat Man' Club Cafe sign and have it on their front today.

Hey Jason, the Blue Hole was one of my "Must Do's". On my way out East I stoped by for a look and on my return I stoped for about an hour and jumped in and swam for awhile. Is was cold. I have a toutube video of it. It's a very nice break along "The Route" even if you don't go in.

That's cool! (literally lol) I'd sure love to dip my feet in if it was over 95 degrees out. Though it's not on the main road, like you said it's definitely worth the stop!

My Dad Bill Swan made a lot of iconic fiberglass statues which are placed along Route 66like Paul Bunyan and several other statues which are in a short Amazon ebook for only 14.99 called "The man behind the mufflerman ".
