They try to get the best actors, make very realistic special effects, choose the best locations, spend money on costumes and furnishings to avoid anachronisms, they buy the best script to, so when we watch the film, we immerse ourselves in it and forget this is only a film! But we get soon reminded we're on the set, as the music comes from somewhere... If it's done tastefully, they can get away with it. Often they don't! Background music is a leftover from the silent movie era, when we couldn't synchronise sound with audio, therefore, music was there to give us clue what was about to happen, before the board with the dialogue appeared That was 120 years ago.😊

Un très bon film, que j'ai regardé, il y a plusieurs années, sur cassette vidéo, que je garde toujours soigneusement. L'argent qui est au centre de ce film et le comportement du duo policier sur les lieux de la tragédie donnent beaucoup à réfléchir. À chacun son appréhension sur cette affaire, pour dire que c'est à la fois difficile et facile de comprendre pourquoi ces deux flics en sont arrivés là.

It's great Biblical proposion allegory, started with ambitions vs righteousness, which gave access to thinking about thievery as opportunity, this led to harder crimes ending in worse as murder ( still finding excuses as life of particular man is less valuable than others); then escalating to second murder,,,how thoughts alone can lead to absolute detrimental state of loosing ones soul....

This blood money wasn't only marked with physical tracer, but had bad juju spirit attachments to it, those two were lured to it by their unsatisfactory with their circumstances ( affair with married woman, ambitions to be and get more, ) which led to easy temptation against all reason even... they're blinded
