Routed Protocol vs Routing Protocol
Routed Protocol:
(1)Routed Protocols defines packet structure
(2)Routed Protocols defines network addressing
(3)These logical addresses help routers to locate subnets
Example: IPv4, IPv6
Routing Protocol:
(1)They are used to exchange routing information
(2)Routing Protocols defines messages, rules to learn routes
(3)They fill the routing table with possible paths to destination
(4)Then select the best path
Example: RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP
