I like that. Far easier and more accurate than many I've watched. That's my task for today.

What size of flush trim bit did you use? Matched the radius of the base plate I assume? Then it looks like you used the leveling kit?
@RabbitwoodWorkshop6 жыл бұрын
I used a 1/2" flush trim bit and it was pretty close to the radius of the plate but not perfect. For the leveling i used some lag bolts with the points ground down and screwed into the in the Bottom plywood 3:53

these videos always seem overly complicated, why not just put the template directly on the actual table and use some larger bushings with a straight bit to cut out a smaller hole then just a rabbeting bit for the lower insert and you're done

I didn't understand the need to do it twice, either.

The small boards could have been taped directly to the table. Route it with a pattern bit instead of a flush trim bit. Done!

does it come with a router lift?
@RabbitwoodWorkshop8 жыл бұрын
+MaghoxFr The plate doesn't come with one. But the Craftman plunge router I have already comes with an adjustment screw on the bottom of the base, so i can use it for a router table.

What I need to know is How Do I ATTACH THE ROUTER TO THE Plate that fits into the table?With screws in holes already in router parts? Help!! Got new table with no instructions on how to attach the router to the table. Quit laughing.. I’m new at this.
@David-hm9ic3 жыл бұрын
Mine is held in place by gravity. The plate isn’t fastened to the table.

@@David-hm9ic thanks.... I’ll give that a try...and pray .

@@David-hm9ic he was asking about the router to the plate, not the plate to the table...lol.
@johnsigler27183 жыл бұрын
@@quenemoend depending on the plate you have, holes may need to be drilled to match the patter of your router. regardless, the plate is likely thicker than plate on the bottom of your router so you will likely need new screws. The type of holes and any countersinking on the plate will determine the head of the screw, and the threads can be matched to the existing screws/bolts from router. Be sure to get ones that are long enough for the plate and router but not too long.
