That dashboard is the same dashboard which was mounted on Renault R3-12s back in the '80s. Thats why it is that unusual (and maybe ugly).

That's right. The exterior is quite modern, but the dashboard is horribly outdated.

You can change front logo. :) In model.cfg just change ren.o3d to Iris.o3d :)

No one knows exactly the reason. There are quite a few theories. In a nutshell probably the most common one is that the demand for the 200 series in Europe was so high even in the 80s and 90s that the development of newer types wasn't the priority, and during the fall of the communism in the Eastern Bloc Ikarus lost its two biggest markets, the Soviet Union and East Germany. Financial problems, smaller market, no modern buses, then came Irisbus and in 2000 they closed the Budapest factory which was followed by the closure of the Székesfehérvár factory in 2004. The special coach division lasted until 2007.
