Hi brother I need some help I'm after a side mounted exhaust for my Roven Baja Max 5TS 45cc I don't want a rear mounted exhaust as I have got a bumper on the back which doesn't have the space for a rear mounted exhaust so what side mounted one can you suggest that doesn't cost to much as I am disabled and not able to work anymore so money is a bit tight

Hmm a side pipe for the 45 the only one I can thing of you could try is the rovan 45 side pipe. You will need to open up the header flange. Its not the greatest pipe but it will certainly work.

whats the deal with runnin such small tires? faster overall or just makes the motor get in the high rpms faster? i never got it seems like itd kill traction lol

The big tires are okay but do not get enough traction. These FT tires get great traction hence all the roosting. Its really personal preference. I would have run the big tires but the foams in them are completely shot so I threw these on. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Still the best option for a stock 45. Really wasn’t terrible the 45 takes forever to get on the pipe but you had it rippin good, but it is clearly not the OG dumper

Hi Jeff thanks for all the videos and knowledge much appreciated! So I have three pipes I am looking at and I really trust your opinion. I have the max 5T 45cc. I really don't want a rear exhaust pipe. The question I have is the bartolone pipe any good? I've heard mixed reviews, or would I be better off with the big gun? I see oilmate makes a side pipe as well but not sure if it'll fit on the max 5T?? I've heard this is a great pipe do you think this one would fit? Or would I just be better off sticking with the stock one. Thank you for all your footage and your time. You really are inspiring to the RC world.

Hey brother the bart pipe is no good. Stinger is in the wrong place and the header opening is too small. The Big gun pipe sucks! Your best bet is definitely the Olimat pipe. Simon makes some nice pipes if your looking for a decent 45 side pipe. And its for a the baja 45 the olimat so it should fit the MaxT no problem

Great as always brother! Today was a little sad. My 10 year old TMaxx 3.3’s engine took a crap…. It has been losing compression so I knew it would die soon, but still sucks. Ordered an OS .21 engine yo replace it. Hear good things about that engine so wanted to give it a try.

Well bro sorry to hear about the maxx but they make them engines everyday lol. Only 70 bucks for a new sleeve n piston not sure if the rod comes with it. The 3.3 is a great little engine. I use Traxxas 33 percent in mine ! Never had an issue with that great fuel

@@eastsiderc yeah I have been using bones brew cause Traxxas top fuel is hard to get around me. Ive ran the trx 3.3 for 10 years and it has been great. Just wanted to give an OS engine a try.

You will love love love the os brother you cant go wrong . I would beef up your transmission or just get some spare parts to have on hand! That os engine is powerful!!

You’re welcome brother I hope it can continue. Tune is a factor and the 45 is not a high revving engine . The exhaust port timing is only 150 degrees it performs a lot better at a zen setting. Im curious what you will think of mine bone stock with my TMR power pipe. It revs pretty decent. I need to rebuild it at the moment a seal failed and caused a lean condition on one side of my piston. It happens. I have a brand new top end to repair it with so no biggie.

It's a decision to purchase a $1K+ toy that still seems like it's not setup quite right... especially with so many charitable needs lately... we took in 2 families thise year... 2 kids included... they're loving the RC's... but it's also reminding me the responsibility of being a good role model... so if I can see the light with one of these 45cc Rovans, then I can see it being worth pulling the trigger... thank you!!

Hey Shaun the stock Rovan 36 pull start cant handle much abuse thats for sure. And that engine has 15:1 compression ratio stock if its the single ring. I dont know about the turtle pull starts bro you will have to email DDM Steve for that. The billet ones from rovan I showed on here the ratcheting kind those are nice! And you can buy two of them compared to one turtle one. Give them a try! They are a real super easy start so you dont have to yank the mess out of it . You just pull slowly and let the spring loaded pull start do its thing! They are great for “china junk”.
