Hi Randy! How has it held up? Would love an updated video on how the fabric has held up...how is the comfort?

It has held up great! No issues, still comfy and we’ve been really happy with it!

Thank you so much for this review! What is the height of the chair (from the ground to the highest point of the back support), according to your measurement?

I've been trying to find more reviews on rove concepts so this is super helpful. I'm surprised it doesn't have the label that gives information about flame retardants. I believe they don't use them but I guess I should double check before ordering anything.

thanks! rove says the legs are polished stainless so no chrome to flake .I was thinking to get the kardiel.

My wife bought one for our place (same brand/color) and I do not find it comfortable at all. I seem to be on the small minority as everyone talks about how comfortable the chair is. I truly hope it grows on me because this chair will be with us for a long while.

Hey, not sure if you’re still checking on comments here. But any update after around 2 years? How’d it hold up? Would you buy it again?
@mirandys3 жыл бұрын
Hi! The chairs we have bought have held up well. No issues so far with them. I definitely recommend paying the extra little bit to get the slightly nicer fabric as it holds up better and has less pilling.
@leannforystek2544 жыл бұрын
@Randy, how has the pilling been after a year plus of having it?
@mirandys3 жыл бұрын
It's been reasonable. The womb chair doesnt get a TON of use in our home, so we haven' had any issues with pilling on this chair. My other replica eames chair (in my other video) I use more regularly and it does have more pilling happening. That chair has the standard wool, not the slight upgrade wool cashmere of this womb chair. Nothing extreme, just a little shedding that I manage.

Thanks so much for the thorough video. May I ask, how does your lower back feel when you sit in the chair? Do you keep the pillow where it sits or move it up when you sit in the chair? Do you need to place another pillow behind you? Thanks

@Randy thank you for your video. I am thinking of ordering but concerned about getting it down my hallway given the dimensions. Do you think the legs of the chair can be unscrewed? Thank you

Hi. May I ask, how does your lower back like the chair? Do you keep the pillow where it sits or move it up when you sit down? Do you add another pillow to make the chair more comfortable? In honesty I just received delivery and my lower back isn’t responding favourably to it. :( Unfortunately. Thanks for any feedback you have.

Hi! So I haven’t had any issues with the back pillow. I find it comfortable for extended periods of time.

Your living room looks cozy as hell. I just wish you'd shown yourself or someone else sitting on the chair. The design is already kind of strange, so does it look like you're piloting a weird spaceship when you're sitting on it? Do your feet touch the floor? Could you sit on this chair with a laptop comfortably for long periods of time? Is it large enough to curl up in the fetal position after drinking six glasses of wine on Valentine's Day all by yourself as you remember all your past failed relationships? Asking for a friend.

Thank you so much for the review. Looking to buy this from Rove. It's really nice to see all details up close. Do you mind sharing your height? I am 5'8" and I am wondering where my head would land on it. Any negatives on the wear? Cushions? Fabric? How much do you use it? Thank you again!
@mirandys4 жыл бұрын
Hi! So I am 5'8" as well. My head lands right at the top edge of the chair basically. So far so good, We dont give the chair a ton of wear and tear, but it's in a prominent room in our home So I am sitting in it a couple times a week reading and whatnot. Cushions and fabric seem to be doing well so far.

I ordered fabric samples from both Rove concept and Knoll free of charge btw. Knoll was far superior. Rove concept fabric was in my opinion terrible and a disappointment. Knoll medium womb chair is about $4500 while Roveconcpet $1500 with the leg rest. I was thinking about finding a used womb chair in Craigslist and just orders the fabric from knoll to reupholster to save money but I think I might just spend that $4000.

Are you commenting on boucle wool or cashmere wool from rove? I didnt like boucle wool feel, but was happy with cashmere wool sample inreceived from rove.

Have you looked into Modern Classics in Bellingham Washington? They have a womb chair and have some very heavy duty fabrics available for it.

Thanks for the video! It really helped us. My mom just turned 70, and has always wanted a Womb chair due to their reputation for being so cozy and comfortable. Like everyone else, she doesn’t want to spend 7K, but is also worried the Rove replica won’t feel as good as real deal to lounge in. Your video convinced her otherwise and she’s getting ready to place her order. How is it holding up three months later? Do you notice a substantial difference in comfort in your chair vs the authentic Knoll chairs where you work?
@mirandys5 жыл бұрын
Aiden Grant Hi! So the ones I sit in at work are very old, likely from the 60s. My head lands in a very slightly different way on the original ones vs the rove that I would say is slightly more comfortable on the real womb chairs, however I’m not sure if this is due to slight inaccuracies in the proportions of the replica, or wear in due to age. After 3 months the chairs still look like the day we bought them. A tiny bit of shedding has happened with the cashmere but nothing unexpected.

Hey, just wondering how your fabric is holding up? Any serious pilling from the wool?
@mirandys4 жыл бұрын
Overall pretty great, no major pilling on the nicer fabric, however I’m getting much more pilling on the eames shell chair in my other video that has the standard fabric. This womb chair had the more expensive fabric which has definitely held up better.
@bEarishpArrot4 жыл бұрын
@@mirandys Hey, thanks for the reply! Just to double check, was that the cashmere wool for an extra $100 or so? I'm trying to find a decent reproduction but there seems to be so many mixed reviews of these chairs. Thanks again!
