Rover SD1 2400 SD Turbo Diesel - Video 112 Cavity wax time! Applied loads of Dinitrol 3654-1

This is footage from last summer when i filled the car with cavity wax to try and prevent any further rusting. I used dinitrol 3654-1 corrosion protection wax in a lovely shade of brown and used a compressor with a lance to inject it into the sills, inner wings, and pretty much everywhere i could get it.

Being a complete novice at waxing cars… After doing a rebuild of the back of an R50 mini, I used Dinitrol 4941 for the underside and 1000 for Cavities. Mind completely blown by so many different waxes on their website. Good shout to use different waxes for different parts of the car. Your car is looking fab

Did a restoration years ago on a Range Rover and had the chassis shot blasted and after painting I had a bare chassis on stands and I heated up 2 gallons of waxoil which was sprayed into the chassis.the chassis was rotated several times so all sides of the chassis got coated. Recently did a Mk5 cortina which was a horrible job and as you have done every orifice got a good spraying.

I'm sure dinatrol did a thick oily coating for the underside of cars, from memory it could be sprayed over the stuff you are using.... It's good stuff, I used it on a TR6 I restored years ago... Mind you never did finish off the cavities..... Keep up the good work 👍

Nice bit preventative maintenance there. James in your opinion what do you recon would be the best Red Oxide paint to use?

My only experience has been of Bonda Primer which I find really good. But I use it inside sections and as a temporary coating on areas I’m going back tomlater
