It really feels like the Scar's VA is the only one who knew what's going on in the scenes he voiced. All others sound plain like they are recording some automatic messages you get when you try to call some service center

It’s strange honestly. And there could be a lot of factors going into it, since the VA studio hired for WuWa is the same one that worked FF14 or one of the games, so it could be the actors not used to forcing the American accent thus lacking emotion in dialogue, scripts that don’t connect dialogue to follow up after another and/or not mentioning what tone or emotion the lines are to be said in, as well as the voice director doing.. hell, are they even there helping the voice actors understand what to do? Very unfortunate as Scar, Jiyan and that lion boys voices are pretty good but it’s almost as if the voice director isn’t doing their directing

Scar's VA puts effort into his lines for sure unlike a lot of the other actors but I feel like he's characterised all wrong. He sounds a lot more jovial and loud and goofy in the English dub compared to the other languages where he sounds more sinister and sly

I agree, some of the voice lines didn’t match the action sequence. A bit too chill for a moving character… may be due to some discrepancies in the studio or however they directed it.

She sounds borderline like an AI voice over while Male Rover feels a little more natural in comparison (tho don't get me wrong, this "you're not going anywhere" part was also done bad)
