Churnet was reported to be the most polluted river in the country in the 60s. One of the rivers “murdered by man” as described by Arthur Ransome - Like my local R Irwell. Excellent to see - like the Irwell - it has improved so much. Great video guys!

That’s brought it all back home, thank you so much! When I was a lad learnt I how to fish on the chutnet and soon got into catching Grayling, used to get brandling worms from my friends mum’s compost heap and cycle down to Bolton’s sports field in Oakamoor, just upstream, rod tied to bike frame. Caught some good perch there too. Some folks used to catch some cracking winter roach above the big weir. Got back into fishing years later as an adult now living in North Yorkshire and of course I’ve found myself chasing the ladies again on the river Rye and cod beck, using both trotting and nymphing. So thanks again, and I’m tempted to get that apron. Top fellas.

Back in the late 70s early 80s the rivers i mentioned in last comment had very few Grayling but now with the improvement in water quality especially on the Rea brook the Grayling have thrived.

Nice to see Des using an old DAM CFM closed faced reel. Nicknamed ‘coffee grinders’ these were excellent reels and, imo, one of the best and most underrated closed faced reels ever produced.

Another cracking film, Roving for the lady is my favorite style of fishing other than chub. A couple pints of maggots, one rod, landing net, no seat box, keep net your in heaven cr10 2# 13' with fixed spool or my 14' 2# with my Atom pin.

Grayling, the only coarse fish I've not caught, I don't think there are any in East Anglia! Super video, love the small stream fishing.

@@cosso114 Nope! I know they used to catch them around the Fakenham area in the Sixties but I think they were introduced in Victorian times in the first place rather than historically there?? Love to see the EA restock them but highly unlikely.

Well Mr Chappie with thanks to you, James, Paul and the rest of the Cadance crew this has become my favourite KZbin channel. The quality as always is First Class, the only thing missing was Monty!! Big congrats to you James on your recent Big win. Very impressive, it must have been quite tiring netting that number of Fish. Well done. Kind regards. Alan.

Superb vid guys. Funny how your conclusions are the same as we have on the Wharfe, Aire, Calder, Nidd in Yorkshire ... Feed maggots and get trout, Catch one or two grayling and then move on...Fish the creases, drop offs etc. thanks for sharing, it was a really good watch.

Grayling, one of the few fish that can be relied on to feed in cold conditions. I loved fishing for them ‘darn sarf’ on the river Itchin and the Frome. Great video again guys.

A great little video on whats has to be the best type of fishing.Unfortunatley I,m unable to walk far these days so my fishing is more static.Well done on producing a bait apron something that seems to be missing from the shops these days.Another plus is that if it fits a fat bloke like Des then it will fit a fat bloke like myself. Keep themcoming James for us to watch.

Nice video, that's one of my local stretches, I know it well! The 11' CR10 #1 looks just the job for there, although reel-wise I prefer a centrepin. And for fly fishing, an 8' 4wt. I use a CR10 14" #2 model for trotting on the Dove for the grayling and chub, nice rods and a great range to choose from. Those bait aprons look good too, better than the simple bait pouch I use 🙂

Hi, best thing to advise you is to just pop your name on the list. As soon as they are in stock we will fulfil the outstanding orders until stocks run out again. Precisely when is hard to say, sorry. They are handmade and the company is working flat out to keep up with demand at present for all the luggage. Good product? We think it's worth waiting for if you can. Many thanks.
