I bought this one a year ago. Really silent. Use it all the time. I have it to my right and the problem I found very fast was the the shiny disk on the front will reflect the light in my direction each time is moving from side to side. I ended placing duct tape all around the shiny disk :) the disk should be mate.

For anyone trying to figure out how to disassemble the front grill of the fan, there is a simple trick to make this easy. You unscrew the screw at the bottom of the plastic ring, then flip the lever down and put a flat head screwdriver in between the metal halves of the finger guard. Not the plastic but in between the metal parts. Then gently twist and the two halves will separate and you can remove the front. The back one only comes off after you unscrew the fan blades (counter clockwise) and then the other plastic nut holding the back on.
@FSM_Reviews5 жыл бұрын
But, worries aside, this seems like a fairly decent fan. How much did you happen to get it for? The blades are quite nice-looking, but the center badge with the logo is kind of too shiny for my taste. The rest of the fan seems OK, but I'd assume that the control panel with the buttons will take on some damage in the later years.
@fansgalorellc6215 жыл бұрын
I paid $70.00 for it. I fully agree, the chrome accents are more bothersome than pretty. It’s a fingerprint magnet. The buttons do feel quite cheap. I try not to force the buttons down but that seems to be very lacking in QC. The remote feels very brittle and even before I could insert a battery in for a future remake, it got stuck in the remote.

@fansgalorellc621 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, 1. The Klarstein is my go to, plenty of features, and one I still use to this day and believe it’s a one stop shop for a fan. It has everything you ever could need out of a fan. a.co/d/bWZ2iz0 2. This one has less features, but essentially, works just as well. A good alternative if you don’t need all the bells and whistles but still want quiet. a.co/d/eWpCkmm 3. Rowenta of course, being a wonderful option as well.

Great Video! What would you recommend between this and the Klarstein Silent Storm? Which feels more quality? Thanks!
@fansgalorellc6214 жыл бұрын
TheDarkwarrior786 The Klatstein is a bit more expensive but it’s night and day between the two. The Klarstein has 26 speeds and blows twice as strong at its higher speed than the Rowenta does. Not to mention, the DC motor the Klarstein posses is much more efficient. The only downside is being so efficient, the Klarstein always shuts off after 12 hours. That’s the only thing. Otherwise it’s a great fan.

Klarstein seem to have 2 models of interest, one being the silent storm and the other the sommerwind. The sommerwind seems to have a higher airflow rate, but lower max velocity and also has more blades. Both are available for £85 in the U.K., torn between the two, any experience on the sommerwind model?
@fansgalorellc6214 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, the sommerwind is not available where I live (US) but it looks to be exactly the same, perhaps a newer model with the extra blades? All I can see is another set of blades. I have had dual blades fans in the past and notice no difference between having just one set or a double set. I’d say it’s your call really.

To make a long story short, the Vu5670 has 5 speeds (An extra slow low that really doesn’t blow any air) and you have a timer with a sleep mode while the Vu5551 has 4 speeds and no timer or sleep mode. That’s the main differences really.
