On May 4, 2024, residents of Rowlett are asked to go to the polls to consider authorizing the issuance of bonds in the amount of $51.35 million for four bond propositions. Each of these projects were carefully considered and proposed by the citizen-led Council-appointed Community Investment Program Task Force, and the City Council voted to place these propositions on the ballot for citizens’ consideration.

Proposition A - Transportation, Street and Alley Projects - $35,000,000
Projects include traffic signal control replacements and installation, Merritt Road Interconnector, Liberty Grove Road improvements, and street and alley reconstructions
Proposition B - Parks and Recreation Projects - $8,500,000
Repairs, renovations, enhancements, and improvements to parks and recreation facilities.
Proposition C - Public Safety Projects - $4,700,000
Modernization and repair to Fire Stations 1, 3, and 4.
Proposition D - Street Lighting for Lakeview Parkway - $3,150,000
Street lighting for Lakeview Parkway.
