That manual zeroing to the ‘material centerline’ is so odd. It seems like a simple tool length sensor mounted at known offset from the spindle axis in the x direction should allow automatic measurement for both turning tools and spindle endmills.

Regarding this matter, our testing processes are in full swing, and we aim to complete them within the next two months. The hardware infrastructure is fully implemented across all machines; we are currently focusing on integration testing. Successfully concluding this process is one of the short-term priorities of our technical team.

@ I don’t see how this responds to my comment about tool length setting but ok… ;)

Nice work. I did see the nice 'esp32 / grbl' in the menu; always nice to see my firmware being used properly. It does leave me wondering where the lathe source code for GRBL/ESP32 (or should I say Fluidnc for which I'm a founder) can be found? I mean, I'm sure it's not in the main repo's, and it's GPL licensed.

Sorry for the delayed reply we had some minor problems with the KZbin. For this one and/or any other topics you can reach us via the channels in video and channel descriptions.

Hey, do you have any aluminum machined parts you could share with me? Do you think this machine can be used for mass production if it works 24 hours a day?
@skchng2002Ай бұрын
How long did it actually take to machine this thing?

What's the build size. Probably hours. I have a cnc and it takes hours, sometimes days to get a part off the way I want it. Machining takes forever, but this machine looks... OK. It's not great, but its pre-built. I'm working in a cnc layth build at the moment, im using concrete and steel for somthing about 2x the size of this and can mill aluminum and steel.

The part machining was completed in 9 minutes. By optimizing the parameters, it can be completed in under 5 minutes.

@rowndprecision its wood though, commented before I actually watched the video, thought it was brass 😆 yeah it should do wood easily. Let me see it try and mill brass and copper though. Brass I would hope it can achieve. Aluminum as well. Copper I doubt, and steel no

Hello As you said you can buy not only CNC milling machine but also so many different machines. But I didn't understand your motivation. This is a Desktop type CNC Lathe and if you need a lathe you can purchase this machine or if you need milling machine you can purchase that one. Milling machine is not an upgraded model of the lathe, so I didn't understand your comparison.
