Thanks for watching. It is a good idea to do so only if the nylon has not expanded to too much. Mine expanded to the point of exposing the magnet which then rusted out. The nylon looked liked it bursted open so it is not salvageable

Can you clean that reed switch or flow sensor magnet or sort? Mine stopped today, before, I just need to clean the filter coz of dirt..now, no luck..no light on my AEG ...no hot water

Thanks for watching. Want to caution about electrical hazard. Usually it is the nylon encapsulated magnet that fails first. Remove the hose and filter then poke at it gently so if you encounter resistance while poking up then the magnet had swollen. Looking for replacement will be a challenge. If loose then failure mode is elsewhere. Next is jumper the magnetic reed switch at the header (use a 2 pin header that you find in computer), doing this will fool the computer into turning on the heater. If none of these works then the 5 volt powering the computer is no good. Anyway, I ended up buying a new heater from Lazada because the one I repaired began to leak

I couldn’t take the comment too seriously. 220 VAC, Depends whether one was energized to live longer (I want to live forever that was a closed call) or energized to live shorter, say a second then eternal blackness. There are 3 possibilities (there are many permutations) immediate blackness, live forever (say 100 to 150 years of course it would depend how old a person was at the point being electrified) and somewhere in between. Having experienced the shock, I wanted to live forever by fixing the faulty equipment then replacing them with the latest water heater so, yeah, doing something does make one live longer

Technically, it would be described as flow detector using a magnetic reed switch that upon the presence of a magnet that the reed switch will switch a logical 0 (magnet comes in contact) to the input of the microcontroller. The controller will then begin to drive the heater to warm up the flowing water and will turn off the heater when a logical hi is detected (no magnet). I used the flow sensor more as general concept for non-technical people because of the idea of sensing something thus flow sensor. For technical people (I assume you are one) then they could critique the description and comment as such.
