The marching portion was taken at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Blumentritt. The house-like structure on the left was railroad signal tower, it was demolished in 2009.

To date, President Manuel A. Roxas holds the distinction of being the only FIlipino leader to have sequentially held the three highest positions ofthe land: Speaker of the House, Senate President, and President of the Republic. He was also the very first Bar Topnotcher passing the bar the same year of the first batch of Law graduates from the UP College of Law, 1913.

And he was followed by Gloria macapagal arroyo who served as vice president, president and speaker of the House of representatives

@@99mrpogi But before that, former President Sergio Osmeña handled the 3 same exact positions as former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo did. Sergio Osmeña: Speaker of the House (1907-1922) Vice President (1935-1944) President (1944-1946) GMA: Speaker of the House (2018-2019) Vice President (1998-2001) President (2001-2010)

@@joserizal9784 overall, Sergio osmeña, Manuel Roxas and gma are the only three people to have held three of the 4 highest positions of the land, with the most common position held being president of the Philippines. A feat that has yet to be accomplished would be all four positions(president, vice president, senate president and house speaker) held by someone, or otherwise being head of all three branches of government (chief justice, senate president/house speaker and president)

If I am correct, yung mga adults dito mga patay na rin. Yung mga batang nanonood, nasa edad 80s na sila if they are still alive

3:56 Who edited this? The end of the piece is intertwined with the start of an old recording. I could only hear the title "Nearer My God To Thee" but I haven't heard which concert band played it, does anybody know it? (Not surprised with the hymn, brought by the Americans alongside Protestantism.)

@@99mrpogi it all started from the so called "1949 dirty election" to presidency of Elpidio Quirino (Liberal Party). He used all the government resources to corrupt the electorates (vote buying, etc) to win the 1949 election, and then corrupted many government institutions to ensure he stays in power and will win again the next election. That's why his former defence secretary, Ramon Magsaysay (former Liberal party mate) resigned and moved to Nationalista Party. He and Magsaysay competed during 1953 presidential election - the latter won the majority of votes. Under Magsaysay presidency, he tried to clean the legacy of corruption instituted by Quirino. Sadly, that legacy of corruption continues up to this day. Tid bit: Magsaysay started the use of campaign jingle and dance (his hobby) during election. *“Mambo, Magsaysay” was the campaign jingle of President Ramon Magsaysay and many believed it was instrumental for his landslide victory against the incumbent President Elpidio Quirino in the November 1953 national elections.*

@@69erone-half50 so the liberal party are not exactly that bad... Si quirino lang pala ang nagpasama sa liberal party tapos minana Ng next generations Ng members gaya Ni ninoy. It's also probably no wonder that Marcos also switched to the nacionalista from liberal (like Magsaysay)
