I am surprised no one else comments on the new boss fight with Roxas. You know the part when you fighting him to the death and each bar of health he loses his theme gets LOUDER and LOUDER and LOUDER.

What I never got about Kingdom Hearts (love the franchise) is that for a game that could easily be a childrens game. It has quite a deep, complex and emotional story, deep game play and, damn, the music is really sad too.

That's what I respect about the series. It's appropriate for kids, but not necessarily FOR kids. I would argue that the older audience gets much more out of it than the kids playing it.

***** Well, I'm talking about aspects that even go beyond the gameplay/ability names. An 8-year-old will view "hearts taken by darkness" very differently than a young adult or even someone older. To most kids, the villains of the series are just bad guys that side with evil and the heroes have to stop them. As you get older and have more experiences with the world, you find a lot more meaning or have a different understanding of the themes in the game, such as darkness being in every heart and some people giving in to those dark urges. At least for me personally, I wouldn't have questioned who was really good and evil in that game as a kid. But there's a lot of gray area.

Roxas is one of the most tragic fictional characters ever. He get's not even a single break from being miserable. 1. Doesn't even know who he is and get's used by the organization. 2. I live in the US and Lara is in Australia, so we just began working together online, and eventually we met up for the first time in person last summer when we were invited to play at E3 and then after that we decided to get together again for an album. umbreonandespeon Haha. KH358/2 Days was such a downer for me. Xion just gets forgotten, that's beyond sad. But also because it makes you realize that the Org isn't pure evil. Luxord's pretty nice to Roxas, as is Demyx. They see Sora as Roxas in KH2. So when Luxord goes: "Roxas...how could you..." in KH2 I thought it was sad, but when I replayed KH2 after playing KH358/2 Days I felt heartbroken. Poor sods just want their hearts back.
