WOW. You are a lucky girl! I didn't even see her for the first time until a few weeks ago( I was busy with raising kids in the '80's & missed the video for "The Look" and "Listen To Your Heart" until now. ) My heart is broken knowing she left the planet. I guess she'll always be an Angel for me. Now I know when I drag my sorry ass through that lighted doorway, SHE"LL be on the other side. RIP isn't good enough from me. I'm going to pay her a tribute from my heart and what is left of my soul. Look for "Marie Fredrickson Tribute by Nic Bonesteel. Have a tissue box beside you. My 12 year old daughter is gonna help me make it later today.

@@sylvia9519 Thank you for the tip. I will have my 12 year old daughter use her smartphone so I can hear Marie in those two languages.. Her voice is out of this world. I'm really looking forward to seeing her when I finally drag my broken rusted soul through that lighted doorway. My path has not been an easy one. 59, homeless and sleeping in my car. No friends, no family( except my only light in the darkness, my daughter ), no job, court cases with false charges hanging over me prevent employment. No smartphone( do not desire one ), no government assistance and no social media. Faith and music are the only things that allow me to take another step. This is the only forum I trust, because it's music based. I am not your average homeless dude. As far as i know, my credit score is still over 800. I can pretty much go out on a limb and say; I'm the only homeless person on the planet with a Hot Wheels 1995 Treasure Hunt '67 Camaro. it currently sells on eBay for $1000 & up. I'm not going to sell it. It will go on the wall in my house, or to my daughter if I go Home sooner than expected. Even with this much of a load, I am still able to look and appreciate beauty and function. I always try to use Grace to get through this Hell on Earth. I'm really sorry to blah,blah,blah.

All of this thanks to a foreign exchange student from Minnesota who was in Sweden and heard this song, He brought the album back and gave to Minneapolis Top 40 Station KDWB who played the look and was soon getting requests for the single from other stations. They gave it to other stations so without a record contract or official single in the US Roxette was getting significant air play. They were eventually signed to an American Distribution deal and this single was OFFICIALLY released and became a major hit. All thanks to one person and a Minneapolis(which is not where major hits generally break) radio station.

one of the best pop groups ever! Why can't pop music be like this nowadays ?
@mysticgatekeeper10 жыл бұрын
You ask a great question. The answer is that to be this good you need something called talent! Todays' bands are based on nothing more than looks. Listen carefully to the lyrics of people like Rihanna, Bieber and all of the others who are popular today. Their songs consist of nothing more than repetitive lyrics and one liners. Those songs were written while sitting on the toilet while playing with a cell phone. Bands like Roxette actually knew how to write songs which were in the form of stories. The bands of the 80's should be used as templates for today's "singers", and I use that word very lightly.
