You are carrying on the tradition, Becca and what a wonderful project for your granddaughter. I'm sure this brings back loads of wonderful memories of you and your mom. The fabrics are fabulous and you always have the best. I love the Cat and the Fiddle. I can't wait to see more of this. Blessings! xoxo

Thank you very much, Barbie! It does bring back memories of my Mom teaching me to sew, when I took Home Ec in high school! Me too, that’s one of my favorites. Blessings! xx 🥰

Gorgeous needlebooks and huswifs that you showed that you have made in the past and oh my, the ideas you have to make the one for your grand-daughter. I LOVE the fabrics you have to choose from and can't wait to see it come to life. I know it will be beautiful and what a lovely gift for her.

Thanks for sharing a few of the needle books you’ve made. I love your idea to dedicate a page to catch loose threads and trap them with the vinyl sheet. Brilliant! I look forward to following the development of your granddaughter’s huswif. 😊

Thank you so very much! Needle books are such little treasures. I’m glad you liked the idea of the vinyl. After that needlebook, I started sewing the vinyl under the binding, so it just has to be flipped up. It keeps all the threads on that page. 🥰

Can you please give me the dimensions of the main piece and how far apart you made the folds. Thank you. I do not sew much but have been inspired to make my granddaughter one. Of course mine will be the fabrics i can obtain and the decorations. Yours turned out lovely.

Ohh that will be lovely. My huswif is 6” wide by 21.5” long and folds at approximately 4” intervals. I hope this helps you. Thank you! 🥰

Do you have a free pattern for the scissors holder? Thanks
@willowhilldesigns74 ай бұрын
@@judyanzo9582 Hi Judy, I’m sorry; I don’t. I took a rectangle of approximately 2” x 3 1/2” in Ultrasuede, and folded one side over to get that shape. I wrapped that side around to the back and cut leaving about 1/4” seam and stitched that down to the back. I then stitched the bottom closed. Hope this helps…I was improvising all the way through this huswif! 🥰
