I’m catching up on your vids now after a serious distraction. It’s wonderful that this whole YT creation channel is there/here when I’ve missed a couple of daily vids. My stash of mailing envelopes is really adding up so you’ve inspired me to get those covers made or at least cut, reinforced with more recycled materials like the Tyvek packaging and postal mailers, and ready for dressing them up. 🦌💌❤️📚

Hi Gayle, congratz on your 11th grandchild. When my kids were pregnant we used to nickname the baby in the belly a little guppy. My youngest granddaughter has her birthday today and sadly enough I can't meet up with her because of corona. What a beautiful fabric you got there, fantastic colours. I might try that movie you mentioned for I do have Netflix. I was not entirely sure about the different papers you combined on the front, each beauties but together a bit too busy for my taste. Then with the doily and that angel oh wow, how pretty that came together. Just love it.

Cancer took her 2 yrs ago now but the 11’s still pop into my everyday and I’m very blessed to be able to feel the love from heaven!! Sometimes it $0.11 change, sometimes it’s the time. Congratulations on #11! Hmmmm, stilts? Chopsticks? Cardinal? I’m certain you’ll land on exactly the right nickname. My beloved granddaughter was BB8 before she was born. Her initials are BB and she was due on the 8th. I thought it was perfect. Her mom didn’t love it so much and she (my Joani) was thrilled when Breck was NOT born on the 8th 😊 I also get a grandchild in August, my oldest (Matt) and his wife are having a baby for me. Well, for them too. Thank you for the movie recommendations... I need something to cheer me up because Breck went home after a 4 day stay. Beautiful fabric, beautiful covers and happy Monday to you.

Questions! 1) do you usually mod podge your paper covers? 2) do you usually sew through the core of your cover (when possible) or do you try and hug the edge of it?
@gayleagostinelli_ct3 жыл бұрын
I used matte gel medium to cover over the cover. I’m not sure I’m understanding your second question. But I sewed the fabric cover on the edge of the envelope, so I catch the envelope in the stitching. Then I go around the outside edge with Fabritac to glue the front and back fabrics together. Hope that makes sense! I do have a playlist of Journal Covers that might be helpful. 😁❤️

Whoa, that Itln. dictionary looked older than 1959...I thought you were going to say late 1800s. So, quick question & excuse me if you've talked about this b4. I have several OLD books I've collected over the years, some from late 1800s. When you ripped the page out of a nature book in one of your videos, I gasped. I can't get over my "books are sacred" frame of mind and it's hard to think of "disassembling them. Thoughts, ya'll....Tx.

Yes, being a big reader that’s been an issue for me too. I buy books at thrift stores, garage and estate sales that are one step from the garbage specifically for using for journal purposes. That helps ease my queasiness. 😁. Many of the books I find and buy are missing their cover, pages etc. I feel like I’m giving them new life. ❤️
