I heard a lot of country Music when I was little. The WLS national Barn Dance in Chicago was one of our favorites, & the Grand ole Opry, in Nashville Tennessee was another. My husband took me to Nashville, when we're young. It was nice. I heard Hank Lochland sing "Send me the Pillow that you Dream on"! It was real good! I'm always amazed, when I think that Hank Williams was only 29 yrs old when he bied, because he wrote a LOT of songs in his short life!

This is what there was before commercial country music. I grew up in east Tennessee and heard it on B&W TV when it was called 'hillbilly music' and I was infatuated with Chopin and Rachmaninoff as my brother played classical piano. Hillbilly music gave way to 'commercial country' out of Nashville studios and tours and TV shows. Audiences bought country music records and TV shows and hillbilly music largely faded away from public acceptance.

CLASSIC SOLID GOLD TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC!!! I absolutely love this music. I'm 50 yrs old now & I grew up on this classic country music in the 70s & 80s. I just don't know or understand how most of this TRASH that's being played on country music stations is even considered to be country music. Most of this TRASH that is concidered to be country music today is about 500 miles away from real country music. I really like some of the new country singers that are trying to keep it country like: Justin Moore, Easton Corbin, Cody Johnson, Aaron Lewis, Chris Janson, Jamey Johnson, Rodney Atkins, Jon Pardi, BlackBerry Smoke, Whitey Morgan & The 78's, Midland, Randy Houser, Riley Green, Luke Combs, Scotty McCreery, Mo Pitney, & Eric Church. These singers just might help save real country music!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.
