Mellan åren 1985-1989 tränade Englands nuvarande förbundskapten, Roy Hodgson, Malmö FF och tog laget till fem raka seriesegrar och två SM-guld.
Därefter har Roy representerat klubblag som italienska Inter, schweiziska Grasshopper och engelska Liverpool och varit förbundskapten i Schweiz, Förenade Arabemiraten, Finland och England.
Till hemmamötet mot Atletico Madrid i Champions League bjöd Malmö FF in Roy Hodgson som hedersgäst där han dagen innan match ställde upp på en intervju där han fick berätta om sin tid i klubben.

It's very good actually. Sure, the English accent is there of course, but his vocabulary and feel for the Swedish language is excellent.
