In this 4 1/2 minute video, hear from Roy P. Benavidez (Medal of Honor Recipient) as he talks about escaping death twice. In his first tour to Vietnam (1965), he refused a trip with some soldiers who were going to a church service. The jeep those men were riding in were struck and killed by a landmine. Roy talks about escaping this death, only to be faced with it again as he, himself, stepped on a landmine. Roy mentions his rehabilitation efforts after being told he'd never walk again. Roy ends this video with his determination to ultimately go back to Vietnam for a second tour (May 2, 1968). Before he volunteers for the mission, he gets a message from God: "Roy, today is your day. If you believe in me, you'll get those men out!"
