The walk through Copenhagen started at the central Kongens Nytorv square and led along the harbor shore to Amalienborg Palace, where many guests gathered to celebrate the royal birthday of Margarethe II. From there, we continued along the harbor shore to the royal pavilions at Langelinie Park to admire the 12:00 noon salute for the Queen's 83rd birthday. Then on to the cherry blossom in Langelinie Park and to the marina. From there, we continued directly to the star-shaped Kastellet surrounded by water with its beautiful Kastelsmøllen and continued along Churchill Park past the statue of Christian IV to Rosenborg Castle. There, we could view the royal collection in the palace with its crown jewels. Then through the large palace park (Kongens Havn) with its labyrinth, tree-lined avenues and cherry trees back to the starting point of the hike. Distance approx. 7 km, duration approx. 2 hours and +/-80 meters in altitude. GPS data: www.alltrails....
