When you are trying to loosen a bolt that has thread lock on it use some heat to soften it.

Hi Keith, those red trees are probably Acer's, Japanese maples, another good ramble bud 👍

Acers, Japanese Maples? Thanks Mate, I had no idea. 👍

We have an Acer on our back garden. Bought it as a young sapling about four years ago. It's doing well and gives a fantastic splash of colour. What did we call him this acer? "Lemmie" of course

The only way to improve today's video would be to have blue skies. I live in the Great Lakes area of the US and have overcast skies most of the year because of closeness to the water. Getting out of town on one of the bikes always makes one's attitude better. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️

Come out of National trust. Turn left, then first lane on the left, after about Half a mile turn left again where it forks. Just follow.

Everyone comes to the US an goes to New York City, so we get it. NYC is famous an they want to see time square because they saw it in a movie, but its a dumpster fire. Savannah Georgia or Sant Augustine Florida are the cities worth visiting if you want to visit an American city. If your on a motorcycle trip, stick to the Appalachians. Twisty mountain roads that stretch from Alabama to Maine. If I ever get to the UK, it will likely be to see rural Ireland. Or go to see where my family names come from. I'm a Weldon which I understand is a village in Northamptonshire. My mothers maiden name was Hollingsworth which as I understand is near Manchester. Neather of which may be all that interesting, I have no idea, but going somewhere I have someone historical attachment to would be more interesting than looking at a big clock I have seen a million times on TV.

You mentioned how cheap it was to run an electric car but you didn't tell us how much extra you paid for that said EV over a similar ICE version. It's the cost of buying it that's the problem not the cost of running it that puts everyone off.
@shottostravels4 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting. Thats fair. I don't want this to turn into a debating channel for EVs. I fear that it might. Ride safe mate👍
@radekknauer28914 ай бұрын
EVs are only cheap now when they are being subsided. Once they become more common it will be as expensive to run as ICEs now. Just look at how electricity prices is rising. Look how many problems there are with electricity in peak summer when everyone is running AC. Imagine ALL the cars on the road need to be charged as well. Most European countries, USA as well, have outdated electrical grids and no one wants to spend money to upgrade it cause those are huge costs.

It's also the massive amount of depression that you have to factor in plus trying to sell it which is getting due to most people don't want them.
@alvindavenport56574 ай бұрын
As EV’s become more common, used ones will be the true value. We bought a 2017 model last fall, and after the US government rebate, paid a net of just over $12,000 US. The car had 30,000 miles and still has a range of over 200 miles. We average 1/3 of the cost of the gas-engine car it replaced for fuel (electricity). I have a garage that was already wired for 240 volts, so it was very easy to transition. As I’ve said many times, if you have to rely solely on public charging, EV ownership may not be ideal. We’ve had zero issues with the car so far. My son drives it to work about 26 miles daily and it has been perfect for his needs. I own other gas powered cars, so I’m not some environmental zealot. However, I do recognize situations where EV’s make good sense. I agree our governments are somewhat misguided in their efforts to push EV ownership, and many US auto manufacturers are struggling trying to increase EV sales while demand remains low. Hopefully they’ll find a happy middle ground that allows them to build what all the buyers want before they find themselves in dire financial straits.
