My nearly 2 year old Halcyon Green Classic 350 “Omega” is the first bike I have named, also the first bike in 53 years of riding that I do not intend to replace. As for resale prices not an issue for me as like I say I do not intend to sell the bike. I would also suggest that most Classic owners would have no intention of selling such a perfect bike. 😊

Another cracking ride out, I’m one of those who has made the most of the Moto GB offer, got a Stellar Blue Meteor for less money than when they first came out 3 or 4 years ago. Anyone who sells a new bike will lose money on it, you have to get the usage out of it first, that’s just a fact of life with any vehicle, just make sure it’s the right one for the job you’re actually going to use it for. I don’t name my bikes but some of them have acquired nicknames over the years and I haven’t had the meteor long enough yet to see what fits but with the amount of character these bikes have I’m sure something will appear 😉😂 All the best buddy 👍

I greatly enjoy your videos, Shotto. My Halcyon Green model here in the US was $4890 out the door, which is £3876 over there, and it was 0% financing. To me, that's unbeatable for the level of quality, and the level of utter joy, that the motorcycle delivers. As for naming it... I've never named a motorcycle, and when I hear somebody refer to his or her vehicle (autos and motorcycles - no planes or boats, obviously) with a proper name, I tend to vomit in my mouth just a little bit, especially if it's a guy. That being said, I've noted that many other KZbinrs have named their Enfields, and while most of them summon the bile as usual, there's one guy who calls his "Ivy", and this doesn't bother me at all. I actually kind of like it, but don't know why. In any case, if I ever name the Enfield, it will have to be something really evil or vulgar, like Hannibal Lecter or Rusty Sanchez. Take care, Shotto!

Ay up Shotto. How are yer. I own a Classic Signals. Desert Sand. Had it nearly a year. Named Pauline after my Mum. She died in 2019. I bloody love my little thumper. So does everyone else it seems. 😂 Ref the bloke complaining about his meteor being feeble, I just don't understand that point of view. Did he not do his homework? Why the hell would you buy a sgl cylinder, 20 bhp, limited bike then? Strangely enough, I met a bloke a few months ago making the same complaint about his Classic. He was whining because he couldn't keep up with his mates on their 1000cc adventure bikes. I just walked away. What an absolute tool! As being passed on the road, I couldn't give a toss! My bike can do every speed limit in the UK. Apart from a motorway, the only thing that has passed me have been other bikes. 😂 So, I have a question about the heel and toe shifter. Recently, I put a spring seat on my signals. I don't know if it's because I'm sitting higher but I've been getting serious pain in my left, front, upper thigh. If it is linked to the seat, I'm gutted because I love it and my bike looks brilliant! It looks like a WW2 despatch rider motorcycle. A real headturner. So, it occurred to me to maybe get a heel and toe shifter. Never used one. I've heard very conflicting opinions on them. I know ultimately it'll be down to personal preference but can you give me any advice? Thanks again mate. Keep up the good work. P.s, I heard if you buy a Royal Enfield from MOTO GB, you don't get a warranty. Seems unlikely but you never know? Have you heard anything? Cheers! 😊
@shottostravels8 ай бұрын
Interesting all round. Nice thought to name it after your much missed I'm sure mum. I like the heel and toe shifter, only used it once but I'm sure it's a keeper. As for fitting one would reduce pain in your upper thigh I really don't know mate. Did you have that pain before you fitted your new seat? Perhaps it would be better just to go back to stock. I think comfort comes first because without that you/ we wouldnt ride the things. It's hard enough keeping the aches and pains at bay as you get older As for warranty, I've no idea about Moto GB, but thinking about it I did report my mudguard blemish on delivery and that was about six weeks ago, the said they'd file a warranty claim and I haven't heard anything back. I'll ring them, I'm really not bothered about the mudguard but I'm just interested to hear what they say Ride safe mate👍
