Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn Pannier Frames From E-Bay....Are They Any Good ?

Awesome service from our Royal Enfield friends in India, got these panniers delivered within a week purchased off e-bay. Fantastic quality and very well built.

Mine are similar but one piece. Injected the breather holes with waxoyl to save rust. 2 years later they are still fine. Only thing they didnt have was rubber on the frame clamp end but that took a minutes rummage in the garage to find some rubber. The bags, I stitched a webbing strap on the back with velcro that loops around the two center uprights. Carry handle tightened under the shelf frame . Rock solid. Ps bags treated with Belstaff jacket rewax for better waterproofing but still use a wickes rubble sack as liners.

Did you use the canvas bags ? Great idea using the waxoyl, such an easy thing to do but helps make them last. I have got some rubber for the frame mount. I think that is the best thing to do, sew velcro onto the bag, at least you have the peace of mind they will be solid. I need to get round to getting some bags and fitting the panniers, not enough hours in the day. Thanks for all the information, much appreciated 👍

I've recently ordered one piece version for my All New Bullet (J platform). Left bracket fit perfectly without any problem. Right one was bit out of shape so with a well calculated whack I've made it into correct shape. Also bags which came with the package have belts and traps as attachments (no upside down pocket like in old models).

@@slawomirkulinski I haven't fitted mine yet as I still can't decide which bags to buy. The ones on ebay wont't fit as they have a sleeve over the back of them and they wont slide onto these brackets. The ones you have sound as if they will fit, I will look for them. Ive also got rubber to protect the frame and rubber washers, hopefully I will fit them soon when I have time off work. I am impressed with the service from India. Many Thanks for watching.

Morning Butler 😊 I have just bought a pair with bags from Royal Enfield King the bags are a bit smaller than some other Enfield bags, but I think look better they strap on the top rail with 3 straps ( a bit fiddly ) but OK the fixing to the top rear shocks neded to be widened the bags were £60

Bought the same from a RE dealer; I should have had the RE genuine rack while they were in stock.. these I had to buff the lower bracket not to touch the bike frame, made custom gaskets and rubbers to proctect the bike, and last but not least, the RE military pannier sit too high not possible to slip the panniers on the racks because of this and also the upper bracket. If you have the choice, go with the RE w/adapter bracket to fit the new Classic 350, you'll save time and they'll be 100% compatible with the RE panniers.

Hitchcocks told me they would have stock of their custom made RE panniers by the summer which would enable the RE bags to slip over. Looks like it will be next summer now. But there are RE canvas bags on ebay that have straps so they would be easier to fit to the racks, not sure what quality they are. Crazy RE don't produce the proper racks for the Classic Reborn......Thanks for watching, much appreciated 👍
