I can never get enough of tje classic 500. I have a chrome c5 classic 500. Just did carb coversion. Bike gets even better. I wanted to out knne pad on tank. Found out that RE sctrached the tank to get good adhesion for the decals . Now i looking for a way to get those scratches out. I purchased different set of decals to cover it up but i cant seem to put them on without getting wrinkles in the decal. Ugh!!! Might end up having the chrome painted black but i like the chrome look. Bummed. Still bike is my buddy and deserves all my attention. Great bike. To bad they discontinued it. I think RE made a big mistake with that decision. Great video
@nfinnigan3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comments. At least you can comb your hair of the reflection of the tank, that's always good. A hair dryer is good for getting wrinkles out of the decal. I always wish you good luck for safe driving and support you from far away in Korea

Watched this again... Love the Halcyon goggles. Do you find they limit your peripheral vision at all, Nick? I'd probably need to get a couple pair: one clear and another that is tinted. I don't have anywhere near me where I can pick them up and try them on, so I would want to hear from users before I made the leap to purchase them.
@nfinnigan3 жыл бұрын
Hi, to be honest I don't really use them, they are more to look good when riding, I know that sounds like a right plonker , but if I am caught out and need to ride in the dark I will use them instead of using sunglasses in the dark, which is being a double plonker. I would say you get very good visibility and no wind rushing in from the sides as you would from sunglasses, the only thing is I would possibly get the size that has a smaller frame as the standard size. The standard goggles which I have touches the top rim of my helmet and if I move my helmet around when trying to scratch my head, it will move the goggles also. Hope this helps.

I'm a beginner bike rider. I've just invested in a classic 500 and will hopefully get it by the summer. I've never ridden before. How easy is it to pick up, learn ride the Classic 500. I've wanted this bike since god knows when. Now that I'm working towards it, I'm a little intimidated.
@nfinnigan3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cosmo, thanks for your question. That should not be your 1st question, how easy is it to pick up, I hope you dont intent on dropping it, or hope you don't drop it. If you think you might drop the bike, you would be better to get engine bars fitted, they are very cheap for this bike and will save the bike from damage if dropped, I have seen these bikes dropped before in the Himalayas over hard terrane and with the crash bars fitted they pick the bike up and away again. Its a very easy bike for beginners to ride, not the fastest to pull away or stop compared to modern bikes but by far the most fun and enjoyment you will get from riding a bike. The bike is a bit heavy, but low down heavy, but don't let this intimidate you. Its a small bike where you can get your feet on the ground and will put you at ease. Enjoy your new bike, you will love it and wonder what all the worry was about,
@krishm163 жыл бұрын
@@nfinnigan Thank you so much for your response. There is a pair of engine bars attached to the side of the bike and I saw it in action first hand as I attempted to roll the bike off the stand and saw it drop side-ways. I haven't even gotten the bike of the stand and have already dropped it. Luckily it was a light drop. I still have many techniques and methods of bike handling to learn. Hopefully with a few classes and mentoring, I pick it up and alleviate these minor anxieties. Here's to the upcoming summer!
