Always makes me amused as the Scotti were in fact Irish Gaels originally. Great stuff! Playing catch up. Been busy, bike just did first service. Thinking about DAS.

I enjoyed this so much. My maiden name is Sweem. I live in Washington State in USA. I've been here my whole life. In my 20's I started collecting the family history's from everyone who came to our family reunions. I've met family members on the internet who also contributed to our tree. My Uncle and Aunt made it over there and got to walk in the castle. It is wonderful to know all of this. I did not know about the church. Thank you for including that. Amazing stones and history. I look at your drone shots and try to imagine being there back when it was still with the family. It is so beautiful.

Thanks Andrew I'm glad you liked it. Kilmory Chapel is a special wee place, the stone slabs are out of this world. Nice to tie in the Laird of the castle buried in the grounds of that wee Chapel.

Thank you for posting these videos! I am a Sweeney in America and can't afford to travel to Scotland, so learning about Castle Sween and the surrounding areas through journeys like these is amazing. Thank you!

The carvings on the stone grave slabs were amazing. And every time I see just how thick the walls were on the castles I am amazed. Great story telling as usual.

500 BC? I can`t even begin to imagine what life must have been like living there. That place is remote today, but up on top of that hill back then had to have been even more remote. When that castle was in it`t prime, it must have been a truly beautiful place. Thanks for another terrific history lesson!

It's bonkers David eh. This is just south of Kilmartin Glen. Some of the monuments there are older than the Pyramids. Hella view they had eh lol

I look after Castle Sween and Kilmory Knap chapel. Enjoyed your video. First I knew about Dunrostan fort. Always wondered why Sandys farm was called Dunrostan.

Haha aye maybe it's a common name on the West Coast. This little road is well outa the way but it's worth the divert from Lochgilphead or even Kilmartin Glen. Its gonny add an hour or 2 to the journey. Mind you plenty of caravans and camping sites along the road.

How long do you spend in post production? Great videos, but having made a few videos myself I know it can take some time after the adventure!

I'm getting quicker Andrew. A simple how to video takes maybe 4 hours post. A 10-15 minute vlog is at least 8 hours. 👍
