As a ktm owner I recently test rode the hunter. I was pleasantly surprised by the initial pull and how well it handled for an RE. Even test rode the interceptor to compare the 2. But came to the conclusion that the hunter at its price point offers way more than the interceptor.

Hi, loved all your videos as they are very detailed and useful. Does the rear suspension change really work? I had that in mind even before getting the vehicle delivered, but after many conversations with official service center executives and third party mechanics, they successfully convinced me that it's just a waste of money as rear suspension of both hunter and classic are tuned identically. Even though I don't completely buy that. I was a bit disappointed. Not that you have done the mod, is it really worth it? What about the ground clearance after the mod, which is the reason RE gave us stiff shocks in the first place?

I tried something entirely different from what you typically come across on the internet, and trust me, it has helped (to some extent). While a suspension swap seems like the obvious solution, I’m the kind of person who wouldn’t want to compromise X just to fix Y. The thought of cutting the chain cover or risking even a 1% reduction in stability at high speeds was enough for me to stick with the original setup rather than go for a half-baked solution. Here’s what I did instead: I swapped the stock bias-ply rear tire for a radial one, and it has made a noticeable difference. Let me explain-my main issue was the harsh rebound, where I’d be practically thrown off the seat on even the smallest of sharp bumps or potholes. The radial tire has helped soften that experience and made the ride feel relatively plusher. Don’t get me wrong; the suspension still feels stiff overall, but that sharp, jarring impact is mostly gone. Plus, there’s no need to cut/remove the chain cover or compromise stability at high speeds. I highly recommend switching the rear tire to a radial one (you can keep the stock front tire-I haven’t noticed any issues there). Another advantage (unexpected bonus) I noticed is that the bike now feels a lot more agile and flickable when maneuvering. The rear tyre I have installed -- MRF REVZ S 140/70 R17 Hope this helps anyone looking for an alternative (no compromise) solution! Upvote 1 Downvote Reply reply Award Share Share

Hey sir this is something different from all the boring mods that they've been doing to the hunter, i own a hunter 350 and have been riding it for the past 1 year and i personally agree with the difference that these mods can do and provide a much better riding experience. How ever a small query, what do you think about ditching thr stock tyres and getting a block pattern or the dual purpose tyres, will that make a difference in a good or bad way?? Please suggest.

Makes a difference without the performance filter. It's only marginally extra fuel under acceleration so no damage to engine.

Yes you can use easyclutch provided the clutch is in good condition. Try the Bullet 350 handlebar. It's little different and sufficient to improve posture and nor spoil the looks or needing longer cables. You can install FuelX and it wull help improve throttle response.

They are different machines and a comparison even of the suspension is I appropriate. The handling and feel is quite different. Take a test ride to know more.

Bar risers can cause increased handlebar vibrations or fuzziness. I don't use any ony motorcycles. For the Hunter you can check on Moto Torque.

Helloo.. Great video. I've ridden my hunter 20k kms. I'm short and the lean onto the handle bar is really painful on long rides. I've already ordered an angled handle bar riser and I'm definitely gonna get the easy clutch too. I was also planning to either change my seat or replace the shock. @karanlalwani009 no harm. There is no mess up possible. AFR is anyway dynamic so don't worry about it. The FuelX Pro range although is 10 steps, that's within a 10% of the entire range of the main ECU.

Yes that's one of the reason for stiff shock. The Classic shock does not alter ground clearance. It softens the action.

Hi sir ! Been watching your videos recently and was searching your channel for a mods video on the old classic 350 , I have a 2018 classic and i want to invest in perfomance mods first thing would be bmc air filter (I've been hearing that for a while now and your videos confirmed that so thanks) and i want some help regarding others . I don't think fuelx or powertronic are in play as the bike is not fuel injected but Carburettor based so pleases suggest some mods accordingly. Also great content !

Oh okay , given the circumstances should i even go ahead with the bmc or no ? I mean i was looking for 3 mods, 1st the bmc air filter ,2nd performance exhaust from moto torque and lastly iridium spark plugs from ngk Please give me an overview if I should even spend 10-15k in the bike or just let it go until i buy something new (which would be in the coming 2-3 years) Also thanks for the help !

The old Classic has limitations. It's difficult to make it go faster. May not be worth all the time and energy.
