I like your bike. I would choose the same color, black with red stripe, And I like the options you chose to add to your bike, the flyscreen, luggage rack and side bags. I would probably go for nylon bags and a nylon top bag on the luggage rack. You have a wonderful bike. Ride safely and enjoy every journey. Any ride where you return home safely is a good ride.

Looks like you have some very nice roads there. I've had my Interceptor since July here in North Georgia US, and other than a shifting issue from 1st to 2nd that seems to be going away now, it's a wonderful bike! I also have the Sunset Strip paint- looks awesome.

A bit concerning that RE managed to cross thread one of the rocker cover bolts. Not everyone would have the ability to correct that, and I doubt most dealers doing a service would even bother.

Thanks for the comment, yes I doubt a dealer would have done anything, I found that the left side of the bolts had been over tightened, it gave me the impression an apprentice was doing one side and the experienced doing the other,if that make sense 👍

I bought a new 1972 BSA Thunderbolt and a number of bolts in the bottom plate of the oil tank were crossthreaded! So not just a problem from India!

Where did you get your pannier bags? I've been looking for a decent set that don't cost more than the bike itself. Those look like they belong to the bike.

They are the soft bags from royal enfield, got them from Hitchcock's

Nice video. I would like to ask about the tik-tik noise from the head cover, have you ever encountered anything of that sort?

Yes it's tappets , very normal sound on this type of engine 👍

Bike is very nice , has proper classic look but sold my 2022 model after first 1000km, the wobble above 80km/h was unsolvable, its a danger on the road, should not be homologated for eu standards with ceat tyre and suspenaion it comes with. I would buy again if proper suspension and tyre

That's a shame you had troubles with your bike , I know someone going through the same problems, waiting for the outcome of it , but it looks like every now and then a lemon is produced and gets passed quality control,hope you get better luck with a new bike 👍

CEAT tyre’s are very good ,13.000 klms, no problems great grip wet or dry.

Glad you are getting on ok with the new bike . Derek ( solo moto uk ) bought one and has had some trouble but sorted it out quickly . How difficult eould it be for a beginner to do their own general maintenance / service? Is there a service manual I could get? I understand that some maintenance simply has to be done by a qualified dealer. I'm referring to things like oil changes, changing a defective relay, etc... The concern I have about buying a 650 is that the closest dealer is a little over an hour away from me and would require traveling on a makor US interstate highway which I think could be quite dangerous for a beginner. That along with the 6000 mile service interval would make it difficult for me to deal with service at the dealer. What do you think about this? I've also been considering a Triumph T100 or T120. I have a local Triumph dealer just a few miles away. I'm 52 years old, 6'3", average weight and a beginner. Please give me your opinion on these bikes as well if you would. I thought about the RE Bullet but apparently Royal Enfield is mo longer making that model which I think is a real shame.

I'd not recommend anyone doing a service if they have no experience,even if it is easy to follow instructions from a manual,it's the problems a manual do not cover like snapping a bolt or cross threading ect , you need to be competent , can't help you on your motorway that just down to your own riding abilities, take extra training if needed, if that's all to much , just pay the extra and go for the triumph problem solved , best of luck with what you do 👍

hi thanks , drift ghost XL pro, settings are 1080p 60fps for more battery life, not tried it on 4k yet , very easy to use
