Great to see your mods I think your set up is one of the best out there! Be ashame if you painted the tank as it's the colour I really like out of all of them If you did paint it I would presume you would have a personal custom job done? What ever you decide to do am sure it will be great! Good to see the Intercepter again bud👍

Great channel and great blog regarding the LSL Superbike bars. I’d like to do something similar but retain the original switch gear and levers for a while longer. Would you know if the LSL can be changed out directly with the original Interceptor 650 bar and reuse the grips, leavers and switch gear? Without the need for new cables? Guidance much appreciated.

Cheers Nick. You should be fine just changing the bars and keeping the OEM switch gear. I can’t remember if the OEM bars are drilled. If they are you might need to drill a retaining hole in the LSL bars.

Really liked all your mods, especially your LSL handlebar. Is this LSL Superbike Flat handlebar or just LSL Superbike handlebar? I am asking because I’ll be ordering it from India for my Interceptor and once received, it won’t be possible to get it changed.

I have a Ravishing Red Interceptor and I too have debated whether to have it painted or not. Though I'll probably leave it as it is, I've looked at Ford and Chevy automotive color charts from the 1950's and 60's for ideas. There were some amazing color combinations done by Chevrolet in the mid to late 50's that I believe may work well on the Interceptor. You may want to seriously consider repainting your Interceptor since Triumph has used the same paintwork on their Scrambler 1200 XC Gold Line. You wouldn't want people to confuse your bike with such an inferior bike like that.

Looks great. I changed my bars to the Renthal street medium but might go with the super lows. How come you swapped out the right hand controls? I bought the controls from Rem based on your vid and luckily my kill switch was wired correctly.

Hi Brian. No reason, this is just the current set up. I might re-wire my rem switch one day to sort the kill position. Glad yours was correct.

Love the bike, I also have a Euro 4 Ravishing Red Interceptor, interested to see your paint job ideas! I confess I think the RR paint job is the best one on the Interceptor. Also love the new jacket - is it a Schott Perfecto?

Hi Bill. The jacket is Lewis Leathers Cyclone (veg tan). Similar to the perfecto (British version).

You gotten rid of the Domino 1/4 turn throttle was there something wrong with it or just like the Venhill better. I've had no issues with mine at all. I just fitted the LSL super bike bars yesterday in steel, had a Rozoma Race retro bars which looked excellent but with the more pressure on my wrist I suffered a little of numbness at times so went back to more upright bar. I changed my tank for a chrome version which looks awesome still my mess around with a paint on my Ravishing red one. You know Quadlock have come out with new thinner cases with a magnet in them to do away with that lever. Cheers mate

I think these bars will be ok with with stock brake line. I’m running custom throttle cables, but I reckon you’ll be ok with slightly wider bars.

Wind/ exhaust noise kills your hearing. I also suffer from Tinnitus so my ears ring like crazy when exposed to any loud sounds.
