I went with the S&S single sided full exhaust system on mine and it sounds pretty healthy with the baffle in, and rambunctious to the point of annoyance without it fitted. Of course 20 years ago I'd have left it out and been deaf at this point. Excellent video like always Stuart.

Thanks much for this video Mr. Fillingham! I recently fitted the AEWs T102 and these are an exact replica except for a different silencer clamp which comes pre-welded on the AEWs. The purring at the end of your video is so sweet! It's quite loud without the baffles. Can't wait to see the next video with these and a proper sound experience. Cheers!

I did the S&S pipes. Similar look and tons lighter. Sound good as well. I’ll be fitting a Hitchcock’s chainguard after Christmas (it’s waiting under the tree). Yesterday I fitted their oil cooler guard (in black) on the 650. A fine piece of kit. Looks 1000% better than stock and much better protection. A bit fiddly removing and reinstalling the upper mounting grommets for the new part, but a quick job. You might consider a review.

I am pretty sure I know the Indian folks you are talking about ... maybe AEW? I had watched a video by some Indian Gentleman shortly after buying my Interceptor 650 that covered his brand new mufflers. He was so excited. He installed them and started the bike and it did sound good. So I ordered them from India. I have to say they came right away and were packaged excellently, so had no damage from shipping. I am very happy with them. The quality is excellent, the sound is great, and they are also stainless steel. They are reminiscent of a early 70s Norton.

These look identical to my Powerage pipes made in India, but I have the polished option. I found that the note was perfect without the baffles, and not too noisy. Very pleased with mine, so I imagine that you will be just as impressed with The Hitchcock supplied ones as well.

Logistics has been a nightmare in general. I don't know if the problem is in India or if it's happening elsewhere so I'd give the benefit of the doubt to the Indian company who were supposed to supply an exhaust system. It took two months for my son to receive his birthday card from his grandparents. This is from India to New Zealand. The usual time frame is ~10 days. I've also heard of shipments from India going to Japan and then turning back to New Zealand, which puzzles me no end. Keen to hear what the exhaust sounds like. As always, much appreciate the video.

Brilliant video as always Stuart and as nice as these Hitchcocks silencers are, I actually prefer the originals mainly because they’re chrome and not brushed, but that’s only my opinion but they are still nice quality pipes 😌👍🏻

I installed the AEW "TE102" exhausts on mine. Look very similar to these, sound great, quality looks very good to me, and the price was good. I'd recommend anyone looking for an exhaust to at least consider this model from AEW

Looks similar to AEW Exhausts. If the Indian company you mentioned is AEW and if these are manufactured by them as well, there may line a answer why your experience was whatit was. Just guessing.. Even with light wrenching like that I'm surprised to see you wearing such a nice watch, though I do recall from another video how you like really fine timepieces. Still, I always pull even my cheapo ones off and stuff 'm in my pocket so as not to gouge 'em up. Otherwise, those "Enfield Precisions" from Hitchcocks look great and at £299 currently for the pair certainly won't break the bank, especially if you're only shipping within the UK. Hell, that's less than just a SINGLE replacement OEM one costs! And, as you and other commenters have made clear, dealing with Hitchcocks is always a predictable pleasure. Well, I'm off to find that promised sound and ride test. At this point you might consider adding a direct link to it from this video.

@@stuartfillingham Well, that would explain why I couldn't find it in your channel's hundreds of offerings. I found plenty of other goodies in your back catalog though, so thanks. Over here in the States our "lockdown" measures have varied state-by-state and even town-by-town, which helps explain why it's been such a catastrophically muddled hot mess over here. California's measures have been stricter compared to others, but almost comically nonsensical (e.g., you can walk on the beach, but cannot sit down; going golfing's OK clear across the state, but you can only ride a motorcycle no more than 5 miles from home; restaurants are closed and gatherings banned, yet their "Governor Gruesome B. Prettyboy" somehow gets to throw a little shindig for a couple hundred close friends and family at his family's vineyard and winery, though others had been ordered shuttered). Here in Virginia we had something like a stay-at-home-except-for-necessities order back in spring, but aside from most of us looking like the cast from 'The Great Train Robbery' in our masks and a sudden irrational desire for many to stockpile enough toilet paper to sop up the Potomac River, things have been pretty laid back. Throughout I have been able to dawdle off on my "mental health jaunts" on nice days astride my Bullet without being challenged. But for the most part, me and mine have just been staying close to home, which gives me plenty of time to leave long drawn out comments on elderly KZbin videos.

Good vid Stuart and that’s a very nice mod! Had a laugh about the ‘precision fit to the original exhaust’ though! They’re taking the mick about the ‘precession’ bit. Have a think about it! Normal operating temp on a water cooled bike is about 75-80 degrees C and It’s probably worth borrowing a infra-red temp sensor if anyone’s worried about confusing the ecu and if you haven’t got a temp gauge on your bike. As you suggest, starting up from an ambient of 0 is a bit different from starting up from an ambient of 40. 👍

If your referring to the name Enfield Precision, this is a trade name that was originally associated with Royal Enfield back from the middle of the last century. Hitchcocks are now the TM owners and I don't blame them one bit for using the trade name to keep that heritage alive.

Preservative oil on the internals of the silencer it will only do it the first time then it burns off!

Thank you! If you mean production time, I would say generally 2 days per video. I day filming and a day editing and organizing upload. That doesn't take into account research though which can vary enormously from an hour to many hours depending on the subject.

Hey stuart I bought these exact same exhausts from this video they look and they sound amazing but after installing the exhaust the left side(if you're facing the motorcyle from behind)when I rev the bike their is a very slight air leakage I have tightened the exhaust clamps I have even removed and reinstalled the exhaust but still the leakage kind of lessens but never fully goes away the Clamps I have made sure are FULLY backed up should I maybe add a sealent? Or should I not worry and just let it be and ignore it just seemed a bit weird because the right side is fully air tight

@@stuartfillingham I also had an episode where I had been riding the bike for almost 3-4 hours in the scorching heat though it is 45 degree celcius here in India and the bike started acting weird started losing power one exhaust stopped working for a few seconds and then reingaged was this related to the exhaust or something else?

I just might have some useful experience that's pertinent. In my work with stainless hardware on amateur radio antennas, I discovered that my still nice clean looking stainless u-bolts snapped off when I attempted to loosen them. Stainless can and will seize. Use of anti seize on that new hardware could save trouble later.

I'm looking to replace my stock exhaust, one aim is to narrow the back end down as the current pipes splay out too far (in my opinion) if anyone has fitted these would they mind measuring the distance from the outside edge of the ends of the silencers to see if the overall width of the bike is reduced...thanks
