World wide problem! We in Brazil are having the same kind of problem with the twins! Some people are even replacing the regulator between the motor and de air filter (as you showed previosly). Great video btw!

All sorted. The RR is now tie wrapped to the evap shelf.

Sounds like another good option. Almost anything is better than where it was.

can we fix this in the place of cannister right? there is more room on that area... similar to meteor 650

You can do it however you like. I just showed you how I did it, maybe there is a better way

I was hoping you would show me how to remove the RR unit. I've binned the evap ages ago, but I can only just see the RR. I can't see where the screws are or what size they are. I haven't got a fancy bike lift.

@@Mike-dc7nn i gonna make some small alternatives like placing the rr unit in the bed of evap plate... with some zip tags and rubber cables... for now... we have plate right... so we can some how place the rr unit on that... im gonna do by this weekend
@Mike-dc7nn6 ай бұрын
@@vichu650 I thought of doing that. I've already binned the evap and the RR should pick up less heat from the engine and not so much road clag. Maybe the wires will be long enough

I see there are 3 yellow to yellow wires. Does it matter which wire is connected to which wire?
@BobKramer51Ай бұрын
The stator on these bikes is actually a 3 phase alternator. All 3 wires have the same AC value, so the order that they are connected does not matter. Thanks for watching.

Não dá diferença no carregamento da bateria devido ao alongamento do chicote?
@Ostetihugo2 ай бұрын
Não, distancia muito curta para acontecer! Como também ele não usou muitas outras conexões com os fios de alongamento.

What rear suspension are you using ?
@BobKramer5121 күн бұрын
That's K-Speed. They are only about $200, but the spring is too light. I weigh about 180 lbs. And had to run way too much preload to avoid bottoming on every speed bump. SO, I put the stock shocks back on. They will probably be ok for a lighter rider, maybe under 160.

Reg/Rec needs to be mounted on steel to provide a heatsink, it will burn out pretty quick mounted on a plastic side panel!
@BobKramer51Ай бұрын
The digital reg/rec does not get hot, so should not be a problem with the new one. Maybe that contributed to the failure of the old one. Thanks for the tip.

Some good tunes there. Hopefully the KZbin copyright police won't notice. Great technical content too.

It would have been quicker and easier to buy the kit from slick England only £60 great value for money as Hitchcocks have copied it and are charging £20 more plus taxes

It's easy to do with out wasting money on some kit, soon no one will have the brains to fix anything...
@BobKramer51Ай бұрын
I saw the James Slick kit but did not bite because I did not want to mount it at the front of the bike. Also, his kit is plug and play, so you could easily put it back to the stock location. I will never put it back to the original location, so, why spend extra money to make it reversable?

Slick's three wire alternator connector isn't waterproof. You don't want to ride thru a deep puddle
