Nice General overview of the bike and your riding experience with it. I quite enjoyed the light-hearted fun music. It fit the bike and your chosen composition of the video.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to riding the new Enfield Bear which is about 60 lbs lighter and isa bit more punchy in the midrange. I hope to have one to test in January. Cool bike for the price. Nice to see some more 'general purpose' motorcycles coming out.

Thanks for a neat video with some cool riding. I live in San Angelo, TX and have an Int650 and Cont GT650. The Shotgun 650 has some upgraded features over these models, such as steel fenders, metal switchgear housing, adjustable levers, etc. But they're all enjoyable and a pleasure to own and ride.

Hey djones, thanks! Yeah, RE is really doing a good job with new versions of the great 650. While the Shotgun is an excellent ride, I thought it would be better if it had a bit more sporty style, lost some weight, got some more suspension travel and maybe picked up some mid range. Then RE comes out with the Bear! About 60 lbs lighter (!), 1" more suspension front and back, more mid range and a cool style. I'm looking forward to checking that one out!

Nice bike and good trips. Ditch that really annoying "music" though.

I was at the Hill Country Motorheads motorcycle museum reunion on Nov 2nd in Burnet, Tx and saw this bike there I believe, or one very much like it. I was very impressed with the looks and quality of it. I talked with a fellow rider there from Ireland about it and he spoke very highly of it. I believe I would like to own one and add to my collection, may need to sell some first tho! Enjoyed your videos! Thanks, HDW

Hey HDW: Yes! That was this bike. The Irish guy (Martin) is in the video riding it. He visits Texas regularly, and wants to get one to keep here for when he is in town. I couldn't get him off it to let others try it out! That was a great show, despite the poor weather.

Thanks! Check part 2 video I did for the Norton group of us riding through Alabama to get to Birmingham : kzbin.info/www/bejne/jovFfISQnNeWpdk . Fantastic adventure with a great group on vintage Nortons and Triumphs.

Does it give sharp low back impact? I have classic 500 and that sprung seat is a game changer for me

The modern Showa suspension works really well, both front and rear. That said, it is less than 4" of travel, so whack a major pothole and you will feel it. It is only preload adjustable too, but I guess they were working it to a price point. The new RE Bear 650 has an inch more rear travel and knocks almost 50 lbs off the weight! I'm looking forward to trying that one out. A bit more mid range too, with a 2 into 1 exhaust.

How do you feel this bike for driving in the city? Too Big maybe?
@AustinVintageWheelsАй бұрын
It's not too big at all. I ran it full time at the higher of the 2 seat heights, and even the 5'8" and under riders were fine there. I think it would make a great commuter with some soft bags. Easy to get on the center stand too. I'm in Texas, so even 'city' riding has some 60+mph areas, so I like the extra oomph. I think the dealers do demo rides if you have a license so go check it out.
