so he says you can ride 500-600 kms with a 20 ltr tankful while demoing a TB 500. However, being an owner I can swear you can use only 13-14 liters before the fuel gauge indicator starts flashing (you can run it for 3-4 liters more but that is strictly not recommended by RE staff so as to not damage the EFI pump). And given that you get an average of max 25 kmpl you can travel only 350 kms as against 500-600 kms proclaimed in this video. I am not cribbing about the mileage but expecting RE as a brand to come straight with the figures...

shankha sarkar Good point, well they test their bikes in ideal conditions so they come up with those figures. Real life scenarios include thumping of gears every 2-3 minutes which does sucks the fuel considering traffic conditions in cities.

I personally bliv that enfield is not the best bike at this price range but the tradition attached to it makes it worth your money. But keep in mind it is not as fast as a sport bike and the brakes are too soft to put it mildly.

This is the bike which Shahrukh rides in Jab Tak Hai Jaan when he is in London, fell in love with this bike when I saw it in the film. Oh he rides the older model Classic when he is in Kashmir :)

So far I have faced many problems with this bike. There is no doubt that I am a RE lover. I own thunderbird 350 since January 2016. There are couple of problems which I have faced as a rider. 1. Electrical Wiring Issues. 2. Oil Leakage from the engine 3. Clamp on which console is mounted, has broken due to bad quality. 4. Fuel indicator shows wrong reading even if fuel tank is full. 5. Handle bar gets loose frequently. 6. Gears are really very harsh even after lubricating the chain after every 250 kms of ride. 7. Mirrors also got loose from its housing. I never park bike in open area. I never over accelerate. I never go in 5 gear before speed reaches above 60-65 kmph. I never apply water on engine and electric areas of the bike. I never miss the service. -all the free services are finished on time and regularly go for paid service also after every 2500-3000 kms I always clean the bike chain with "chain clean" and "chain lube". Am I missing anything to care this bike ? Can anyone tell me ? My message to RE : Please improve the finish of quality of this bike. Tired, disappointed....................... want to sell this bike [phone]

aah this bike is a monstrous beauty,a black beauty. EFI is must for cruisers, especially who go for rides to places like Ladakh where the oxygen level is low and fuel burning is not proper. Electronic fuel Ignition helps proper fuel burning and good power and torque.

Hello dear rider, competition is good for the health of the consumer :) I'm an admirer of KTM...any motorbike which can come close to the RE in the present day is surely gonna be either a CrossTourer or a DualSport Motorbike... Honda's CRF 250L is a worthy competitor for RE in the above sense at Rs2.5L but, that grunty feel of a big-bore is certainly missing in Honda... CRF450 is a beauty of a performer but has more $ in its ownership cost: Rs5+L... contd...

I have a royal enfield thunderbird 350 and its maintenance is a pain in the ass, something or the else is always going down, thanks to the ultra poor build quality of the materials. STILL I AM DYING TO BUY THIS TBTS 500 !!! It has all the changes i expected in my TBTS. i hope RE has take care of the build quality issues atleast this time around. I am saving money for this one already , hope its worth it..
