Sorry to sound picky but I don’t think everyone watched the Harkles’ Netflix atrocity. I - and many others - made a point of not watching it because we didn’t want to drive their ratings up. If the series wins any awards, it would just indicate that they were bought or “influenced” via their new PR team.

I think Queen Elizabeth's attitude was that she never wanted to be seen as having to be propped up, especially by a man. She wanted to appear as a pillar of strength. It was obvious at the end of her life how important that was to her. She embodied Great Britain. I think it was also important as a young woman in that position in her 20's, to never look as though she was not in charge and capable.

This HCA is relatively new and it certainly not the prestigious Critics Choice award from US and Canadian critics. The Emmy nomination is far more valuable than the HCA

I’m neutral and I thought it was an excellent docuseries. I loved it all and it was very insightful … there was no hate but simply they answered questions in response to false claims from tabloids about them. They highlighted the reason they left and spoke well of Harry’s late grandmother. The ending was was very touching too ❤

As an American, I've never heard of the Hollywood Critics Award. I suspect it's another 2nd or 3rd tier award the Sussexes have been collecting. In the U.S., Emmys are for TV, Oscars for films, Golden Globes (presented by the foreign press association). Aside from Tony awards for theatre, those are the only significant entertainment. Much like the Sussex pair, the others are 'meh'.

Question - why would Andrew need a vacation? What job does he have that is so demanding that a holiday is required to refresh him? I don't say this in a mean way, just curiously. So many of us commoners work tremendously hard at difficult jobs (sometimes 2 jobs) to make ends meet and can only dream of going on holiday, so poor Andrew's being bumped from "his" holiday home (that he doesn't pay for) does not elicit much if any sympathy. Let alone suggested that they subject us viewers to *more* commercials or ad reads (as other KZbin channels utilize) if that’s what it takes. Given how much can happen in a week, discussion about major events can often be rushed or kept very surface-level. Many of us tune in because we get to hear tidbits and insight, from commentators we’ve grown to adore, that we can’t hear elsewhere.

I would think the Netflix 'doc' would not do well in established awards competition. Which category? It claims to be non-fiction, but the content is hardly factual (See Lady Colin Campbell's KZbin videos describing the 140+ misleading statements, false statements, and descriptions of events that belie their previous descriptions of the same events. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a fail, which may be why there was no Emmy nomination. I suspect the Hollywood Critics nomination may have been paid for. In my opinion. Just because many watched, doesn't mean approval.

Look, for one thing, basic human needs such as food and housing should never be politicized and second, successive governments have failed utterly in helping these people who need it, so if they feel criticized, *GOOD!!!* The Anglican Church has perhaps made stabs at the problem without discernible inroads being made, so obviously, _SOMEBODY_ needs to act instead of continuing to make feeble expressions of regret!! The nominations came out the same day as the Emmy Awards…which are big awards given by the entire Television Academy. They were NOT nominated for an Emmy though Netflix campaigned for them to be. 😀.

I would think that "social issues" effect everyone, in one way or another. And the way His Majesty and the Queen and The Prince and Princess of of Wales, I think, are trying to bring the populace on to the same page when it comes to taking care of our respective communities. And for those who are not so "Pro-King Charles" might find, in his efforts to unite, a common goal to help others. I think if the world spent more time helping others instead of picking apart the lives of those who are "Doing" they might find some good in themselves, to work towards equanimity and egalitarianism, which is far better than squabbles and rhetoric, don't you agree?

I live in a small town in the U.S. Our local food bank is run by volunteers from the local churches.Different churches run it on one day a week. Another program we have is a Nation wide program called "No child goes hungry". Several of the large frozen food companies help support it by donating matching sales of different products. For instance, if 1000 of a specially marked item are sold, they will donate 1000 of those items to the program. I see these as humanitarian programs, since they're supported by donations, and I don't see that similar programs in the U.K. could step on political toe! Bravo to both the King and Prince William for supporting programs to better communities!
