they say you should hold all cards when a four of a kind is dealt, the machine can void when you dont keep it and you would get paid nothing. of course, this doesn't apply to double double where a kicker is in play

I’ve heard of that before but haven’t seen it recorded yet. If that does happen, call the attendant to review the play. The machine keeps a log and visual recording of all plays up to a certain amount of time. They can replay the error and will pay you. Thanks offthecharts for watching and commenting. Malfunction voids all pays so you should NEVER put a four of kind at risk for no possible gain.

I’ve heard of that before, some say it’s just a carryover from back in the days of older 80s 90s machines, while others say it still happens. ROM chips recording past few minutes of play shouldn’t be too much of an issue for slot managers to review. I’ll try to look into that and see if we can get an answer from IGT or vp .com . If you speak with ANYONE who has played video poker for a very long time they will always tell you to HOLD ALL 5 CARDS if the kicker is insignificant when dealt 4 of a kind. Just saying. ;-)
