Its a shame the rule around horseguards has gone from "Dont touch the reins" to "Dont touch the Horse". This has probably been necessary due to over zealous tourists.
@ryperoyalguardАй бұрын
You bring up an interesting point-it's definitely a big change, isn’t it? The rule shift seems to reflect the need to protect the horses and ensure safety for everyone involved. The overzealous behavior of some tourists can make it challenging to maintain the dignity and well-being of both the Guards and their horses.

You’re absolutely right-it’s disappointing to see so few people express gratitude to the guards who dedicate themselves to such a disciplined and challenging role. A simple “thank you” can mean so much and shows respect for their service and commitment. What do you think could help encourage more people to show appreciation-better awareness about their role or reminders about how impactful a small gesture can be? 💂♂️✨👏

I still remember when my husband returned home from Vietnam. I was still at his parents' home, where our baby girl and I spent almost all of our weekends, for comfort of being with the two people who were the reason I had a wonderful husband. I entered my parent's apartment, where I stayed while my husband was in Vietnam and then I heard a deep voice say, "Well it's about time you got home! I flew into his arms, so thankful he had finally returned. Later, we went up to his parents' house to surprise them, but they had a sneakin' suspicion that their son was home and that's why I had driven back to their home. It's just like it happened yesterday and I'm still as thankful he returned alive and whole.
