In this video, we look at all the flying displays and highlights of the static display at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2015, including on-board footage. Highlights included the MiG-29, Synchro Pair, Red Arrows, Patrouille de France, F-16, PC-7 Team V-22 and Battle of Britain commemoration.

Magnificant video with great aerial footage. I just got frustrated with the ground footage with your camera position filming behind 'hundreds'of photographers heads thus ruining the footage of air craft on the runway except for the F-18 Thank you

Nigel Curling I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're quite right about our position not being great though, I took up a place on the second row at 10:00am, which was decent enough at the time because the people in front mostly sat down. However as with any major event, late arrivals started trickling through to the front after a few hours and got in the way, although as you can see most people left after the Vulcan, hence the clear view of the F-18. Very occasionally I include the crowd in my footage for high-speed passes to give an indication of speed, but they are certainly more of a hindrance than a help in this case. Fortunately at my most recent airshow (this Fri-Sun) I was at the front all three days and shall be putting a video report online within the week.

Good report, hopefully same again for RIAT 16? May I make a suggestion though for your camera, use a tripod, and your videos will be a lot less jumpy and out of focus. Overall though good report, thanks :)

Thanks Gaz. I already use a tripod, but not a particularly expensive one. Yes, we'll be back this year with four reporters, so arrivals footage will be included too. Already scheduling interviews and asking around for cockpit footage. It's good to be a good one!

moshi plane I expect so. All four days probably. But there will be no next year. The average NDP is just a helicopter flag tow and one pass by the fighters. The Black Knights are being stood down at the end of the year, so if you want to see them you'll probably have to wait until about 2020!

absolutley amazing!! so gutted i missed it, at 0:39 is that the Vulcan Bomber? Saw that beautiful girl do a fly-past before she was grounded and put away :( cannot wait to go to cosford to see her,will be nice to touch it one last time

Correct, that's a Vulcan! If you want to see a living, breathing Vulcan, XH558 is at Robin Hood Airport (Doncaster/Sheffield) where she is open for tours, and the Vulcan and Wellesbourne Mountford performs fast taxy runs on occasion.

Thank you for you reply and explanation. As a professional photographer and videographer I know exactly what you are saying. One always gets these non caring 'photographers' pushing their way to the front without consideration of others and whether they ruin your filming just so that they can take a picture with some stupid cell phone which they hold above their heads - 'the new so called professional'

Nigel Curling I agree Nigel. That's one of the reasons I didn't go straight to the front myself - I didn't like to feel I was getting in the way as I was standing up with a tripod all day long. But as I said, that backfired a bit! Thanks again for watching.

+michaela harris The BoB planes in the flypast included the Bristol Blenheim, Spitfire (x10), Hurricane (x5), Seafire and Bf109. The Red Arrows have a number of commands he uses in the display. The main ones are "smoke on/off, go!", "turning left/right, now!", "Holding the bank, now!", "Rolling out now!", "Ready, rolling now!" "Roll, go!", "Threshhold!", "Turn" and "Break, Break, Go!"
