Faugh a Ballagh is clear the way … it was the Battle Cry of the Royal Irish Fusiliers … my Father’s old Regiment … the Regimental March is Killaloe … my Dad was also the Senior Drum Major for the Battalion’s massed bands I grew up beating time to this music … as the Irish Regiments were reduced to just one … Faugh a Ballagh and Killaloe prevailed … a pipe and drum band has everyone on their feet when they’re on the move particularly with an Ulster audience
