Malaysia also just sign Turkiye for 3 unit of this ADA Class corvette in 3.5 yrs. Ours new corvettes are callled LCS type which armed to the teeth BUT with no CIWS as Pakistan are with their Gokdeniz. Now all of our Asean neighbors already acquiring new corvettes with ALL of their ships armed with the most needed CIWS as the last layer of defence or to counter new era of drones warfare. Then now proudly come Malaysian new corvettes with NO CIWS at all. ZERO.. It was noted even Myanmar new Russian built corvettes have 3 CIWS world known for its 10k terrifying rpm.!! As a certified janitor at a truck company in Port Dickson i must ask our Government.. WHY.?!!

It seems like it's not needed in the planning? Because originally the LMS isn't supposed to have any kind of weaponry but because of LCS scandals, RMN is forced to armed up it's LMS. In the recent new 15-5 plan, the REAL Corvette is supposed to have a CIWS instead

They need at least 4 modern frigates, or 2 destroyers. The new LCS and this corvette don't have the staying power and more importantly, the AA abilities to deal with new threat's.

​@@christophertubig8267 The Ada Class that RMN will procure will be rocking a VLS too using Korean Anti Air Missiles but is using the Turkish ATMACA as an Anti Ship Missile. No Ciws though even though the Ada class contains a CIWS at default

Nonsense. Ada class is chosen amongst other corvettes from various Eastern and Western countries. It's the most bang for the buck warship in its class with excellent firepower. Furthermore, it can also use Western and Korean missiles. Malaysia is using KSAM for its surface to air VLS missiles and Turkish made SSM

@@nelsonjr6715 Jose Rizal-class warship made by South Korea is a Frigate which is the equivalent to RMN's Maharaja Lela class or the older Lekiu class Frigates. What Malaysia wants is LMV/LMS corvettes similar to Singapore's LMV which is around 80 meters. Ada class corvette is close to 100 meters that is equipped with VLS and can fire SSM, SAM and 76mm naval gun. It is one of the bigger and more powerful LMS on the market for countries on a budget. That is why Pakistan and Ukraine are also users of ADA class corvettes
