Synopsis: The fantasy action movie "Royal Monster Hunter 御前夜巡使" tells the story of hundreds of years ago, when evil spirits ravaged and harassed the royal palace, the Royal Monster Hunter guarding the royal palace came into being. After that, the city was in peace for a long time, and the Royal Monster Hunter who had no demons to catch for many years gradually declined, and the fledgling young Yan Li was the only one with blood left. However, a sudden series of murders once again broke the tranquility of the royal city at night. More than a dozen royal family members and ministers were brutally massacred, but the culprits were hidden in the misty night. It's a bummer that the last about 10 minutes was not translated in English. Though the English subtitles were on, a lot of important stuff, was missed. For those who cannot understand the language, and that's too bad. Especially as for myself, I do not understand the language. So if anybody gets bored, they might want to add the last 10 minutes of the translation in English and maybe in the other languages as well. I don't know, but that's kind of a bummer. Not knowing what was said in the ending ki d of leaves you hanging.... But great movie otherwise.😊

A good simple murder mystery with a supernatural twist and a fairly standard love story some fun fight scenes and not bad acting. I'm happy to say unlike a lot of these movies the audio is fine through out. That leaves the subtitles with which there are three problem two of which are minor and one really needs fixing 1 they need a pass over with a spellchecker minor spelling mistakes abound 2 if there are going to be important signs, notes and bits of information on the screen it needs subtitling several times what I assumed where his observations appeared on the screen no idea what they were. 3 More seriously the subtitles cut out for the final 15 odd minutes of the movie now you can turned closed captioning on but you shouldn't have to

Don't understand why the Chinese movies or series always have audio or subtitle issues, nobody checks for quality control - can't anyone get it right for once - so annoying as they recur quite consistently!
