I heard there was talk of deploying USMC F-35B squadrons on the RN carriers. Any clue if that will happen?

As far as we know that's still the plan. Back in 2021 HMSQE had USMC F-35B embarked for the first Carrier Strike Group development. We believe for the deployment in 2025 there will be a USMC squadron aboard.

I understand/heard there an internal battle going on in the US military where the USMC want a carrier with a Ski jump for it Harries and F-35Bs like HMSQE but the USN do not and maybe that why the USMC F-35B well be on broad HMSQE in 2025 as a compromise for now

As we know, it's been a long-term plan for the USMC to operate from the HMSQE Class carriers. It will be interesting to see if they can acquire some Ski-Jump equipped carriers. For years, the USMC planners always said that the space taken up by the ramp wasn't acceptable.

Why do they raise these large flaps when taking off?
@militaryaviationtv29 күн бұрын
Large flaps? Do you mean the lift-fan door on top of the aircraft, just behind the cockpit?

Once ther is sufficient t planes for riyal navy will raf not b involved in the carriers
@militaryaviationtvАй бұрын
@@CharlesHoward-r2n the F-35B Lightning force is jointly operated by both navy & RAF. As more aircraft are delivered, another FAA squadron will form, followed in due course by another RAF squadron. In the future the front -line squadrons will rotate their carrier deployments as needed. Well, that's the plan 😎

7 F-35, 3 Wildcat, 2 Crowsnest Merlin, 2 Merlin HM.2 & 2 Merlin HC.4. Not bad for a localised exercise.

If all F 35s can come close or equal to the F 35I of Israel, the USA and it's Allies will rule the battle field from the GET-GO.

A lot of countries have nation specific avionics/weapons systems. Israel is an example of this.
