Thanks for the video and information about this hotel. Did you stay in the Premier or Executive room type?

Hi. We were in a Premier River Front room. Three nights was THB 7,290 through Booking.com. We booked another three nights through the hotel for a bit less than this. The Executive Suites are slightly bigger with a view out onto the river and down the river bring corner rooms and are about half the price again. We were very pleased with our room.

Thank you for your video. I will be in Bangkok in February of 2023. I am considering staying in this hotel - the Royal River Hotel. I have a few questions for you. I read some reviews about the hotel. Some reviews are negative. I will be visiting the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and other places of interest. I think the majority of these places are on the opposite side of the river. How difficult and how long it will take to get there? Some reviews indicate the following problems: The personnel doesn't speak enough English, so it is difficult to receive information and not easy to communicate. The swimming pool is too small. The breakfast is below average What is your opinion about it? Please advise. Thank you.

Hi. We enoyed our stay and extended it by a few days. The staff at reception are lovely, spoke good english and were very helpful. The pier for the Express Boat is about a five minute walk from the Hotel then its about fifteen minutes down the river to Iconsiam for 16 Baht. We found the breakfast OK. Not too generous with the bacon but a decent variety and quantity of Thai and eurpean food. We would go back.

In one review I read the following:" Chao Phraya river is very near and you can take a boat easily in the daytime from a pier which is within walking distance, but no ferry returns to this pier after 7:00 pm and again getting a taxi to this place is a difficult and costly affair." Did you have this kind of experience? Another comment is: "Reaching this hotel by taxi is a difficult and costly affair." I will arrive in the BANGKOK SUVARNABHUMI INTL airport. So, will it be easy to take a taxi? Please advise. Thank you very much. Alla

@@allafrost2016 Hi again. The Express Boat does finish at 7pm. We always used the Express Boat so didn't need a Grab or taxi. Access to the Hotel across the Krung Thon bridge is straight forward so I don't see why it would be too expensive from the city centre. We flew into Suvarnabhumi Airport and the taxi fare to the hotel was 800 Baht which is the standard fare into the city.
