Another great video. It's awful how she ended up in confinement with her ruined reputation and mental illness because of her wrong doing 😮. Peace of mind, health and tranquility are priceless. Fantastic storytelling. Thank you.

It is another tragic tale, but how things could have different. Thank you 😊

A tragic story. I do have to wonder what her other seven sisters thought about her? If they did think about her at all. I also seriously question whether she had extremely severe post natal depression, or psychosis. Treatment for this condition was not available, as it was not acknowledged or understood correctly. Even now, it can be difficult to access medical help for this condition.

What an incredible home. Extremely smart attires for the men and women. Queen Victoria must have been in dread with her son’s affairs . A terrible end for her. I have bipolar disorder so I can understand wholeheartedly. Be at peace dear lady ❤

I'm wondering if she was actually party to her institutionalisation or did the family, to keep their reputation intact, deliberately have her incarcerated? 🤔

Her family deemed her insane and not suitable to stand trial. I guess the outcome was out of sight, out of mind. Thanks 😊

I beg to differ. I've watched many documentaries on World war I and World war II, soldiers.. mostly men suffered horrendously. Of course,so did women but it's not just women who suffer.
Another amazing story! Of course the Prince of Wales was left out of the scandal. But eventually one man had enough and filed for divorce and the Prince of Wales was named as one of her lovers. He truly was a man wh..e.

If her husband wasn't away so often she might not have had the lifestyle she came into through obvious loneliness

If she played by the rules none of this would have happened. But I understand your point Noreen. Thanks 😊

"Bertie" as Edward Albert was known, was a cad, as were so many other men in his ancestry. Too bad he didn't take after his father, who, by all accounts, was faithful to Victoria.

Perpahs I'm not understanding this story, but why is this woman important?
@here_we_go_again25715 ай бұрын
She is not, she is more like trivia regarding Edward VII. Not all husband's were complacent with him pursuing their wives. Alice Keppel was a different story. He husband knew of her affairs yet he did not reject being the legal father of her two girls (rumored to have been from Edward VII -- Sonia and another man -- Violet) Keppel's wife's affair with Edward VII gave him a very comfortable lifestyle. One he could not obtain on his salary. Edward VII was known to be generous to his mistresses. He preferred married women who "had as much to lose as him" if the affair became acknowledged. Mrs. Keppel ended up with property and lovely jewels.

What about her daughter?
@cyrilmarasigan7108 Жыл бұрын
Her daughter according to Wikipedia was provided a funding by her bio father but he acted as if he wasn't and even has the audacity to sulked that he wasn't invited into her wedding, she was married to the Marquis of Bath despite being illegitimate child, her descendants were the current Marquis of Bath who'm married a black descent women and became the first black noble of UK but her descendants always refer their paternity to Harriet's ex husband leaving her out in the family tree that would be awkward when the two exes meet in afterlife and the ex husband side eye as her wife's descendants refer to him as their ancestor...awkward
