Uh oh…. he looked at the tree ! 😄. I miss the white helmets. Dad used to take us to the royal tournament at Earl’s Court when we were kids. The white helmets were the highlight for me, and in that arena, with the smells and the noise of those triumphs, fantastic! It set me on a life long passion for bikes and I’ve not lost that in over 40 years of riding. Little did I know, as a middle aged man, I ended up living in BLANDFORD forum , home of the royal signals. They performed at local shows and for me, I never lost that excitement of seeing them. They just made me smile. Those olds triumph’s kept soldiering on. It was a sad sad day when they made one of their very last appearances , riding through blandford, to say farewell. It brought a lump to my throat. I asked one of the lads at the Durweston show, why he thought it was the end. Officially… they don’t fit in with the modern perception of the signals. In reality… the powers that be don’t want to pay to keep it going anymore. Whatever the reason, personally, I think what better way to make an impression on youngsters. Immaculately turned out, I think every kid wanted to be one….. I did! So, THANKYOU, Royal Signals White Helmets for making such an impression on a young child which never faltered over the years. I only wish I had the chance to purchase one of those triumphs!😊.

Hopefully, my old HG mucker, Tom Walker sees this, ex White Helmet and a Legend in the bike trade. Made me think about Stan Young, best boss I ever had. Rip Stan.

Had these guys no background in Motocross or trials?! FairPlay the instructors are pretty hard on them. Shame the team is no longer on the go
