I teared up as soon as this started playing in the hotel. "Why arent we happy just being ourselves." ....such a powerful statement, but i think it takes a strong fucking person to be able to unapologetically be themselves. I had that in high school, i lost it a bit in undergrad... finding it again in grad school. I meant to said this at the M&G but time and general excitement prevented it... Royal, you are so strong and brave for being able to be unapologetically you. To be able to take all the shit thrown at you and turn it into something as beautiful as music is powerful.
