I have never been on a cruise but almost died this year from an allergic reaction to medication! So I can’t take my days for granted anymore. This looks like something that I only would previously Dream of! I’m definitely going to start saving! WOW!

The same thing happened to me last year. I had an allergic reaction to my medication after a jaw surgery and almost died twice. Im 34 and it showed me how quickly life can change. I've always wanted to travel more so I booked a cruise thats coming up this May. I wish you the best in saving for your cruise! P.S I put a $200 downpayment on my cruise to lock it in and made payments every month until it was paid in full. Maybe you can do the same thing.

This ship is gonna be so crowded!!! I just got off Odyssey and the pools were jam packed every single day of our cruise. I can't even imagine what this ship is gonna be like!

I heard that ship in particular has issues with being crowded but I think with all of the activities to do on this ship it will hopefully spread out the crowds a bit.

Odyssey feels like "we have all these ideas so BLAH ...there you go" and later ships are better planned.

There is 7 pools on icon. There’s tons of things to do on this I don’t think you’d feel as crowded

I feel bad for the people who missed the memos for the past 20+ years. Royal Caribbean is a family cruise line. Solos/singles and couples aren't their top priority. They won't ever be. You don't bring in the money. You don't rent the huge suites. You're most likely looking to save and not splurge. You're alone or with one other person meaning you don't offer a big payout like a family of 4 will. Once you realize the fact that the lines like RCL are changing to focus on families and less on couples/solos you'll either settle on a older ship or switch lines. And the people crying about fake fat shaming BS. 99% of you are in control of how you handle your body and you let yourself get to that size. If you're less than 6'5 and over 300 pounds that's your issue. Having a way to check if you can get on a slide or other activity so it doesn't break is normal. It's the same at the fair or amusement park when you have to be a certain size. As a former 300+ pound guy, quit making excuses and with the fake fat crap. Grow up. Be an adult. Get on the lifestyle change. And "healthy at any size" is a lie! #fact

Two towers for 6 slides? Ugh! Did they learn anything from coco cay? The wait is so long that it’s not really fun for parents to stand around waiting for the kids to go down the slide an hour later…and the kids mad cause they don’t get to do all the slides. Or even worse slides like the Wonder where people get stuck in them.

It’s a kid magnet. And I’m sure there is a weight limit like the North Star. Making people get weighed in front of everyone. Fat shaming. What could there possibly be on this ship for adults without kids? Yeah it’s a beautiful idea and will make Royal a mint. But it’s for a specific group of people.

Water slides look amazing. That crown area, not so much lol. The ship is certainly an exciting ship, I love the Oasis class ships and this definitely takes it up another notch. I will probably go on it once it has completed a couple of seasons.

This ship looks amazing. I've been on oasis class ships before and the lastest being Wonder just a few weeks ago. Wonder didn't have the WOW factor because I was on Harmony first, then Wonder. I'm guessing Icon will give me that WOW factor. I'm on the first sailing next year.

Would you recommend going on wonder vs harmony for a first oasis class ship experience?

@@beingmboi23 that's a hard question. I personally think that the main oasis class experience is the same. They have different features and dining options. Of course wonder is newer, I would imagine that Harmony is cheaper right now. It's a stupid reason to go on Wonder, but I really enjoy El loco fresh, it's a complimentary Mexican restaurant. Also check itineraries, my next cruise after Icon, will be on Harmony out of Galveston, because I want to go to Mexico again. I hope I answered it for you. Knowing what I know and being on both ships, I would probably go on Harmony. I did notice that the line for the flowriders was longer, because wonder only has one VS harmony that has 2 of them. I do like the TV in the pool area on Wonder.

@@moyeromaha thanks for your insight. We were booked for harmony and odyssey prior to COVID but both were cancelled. I like the newer ships. It’ll be our first time on an oasis class but we loved the others. We are booked for icon of the seas as well but really wanted to get the oasis class in before 2024. Both harmony and wonder are great ships I’ll just way the pros and cons regarding the options that best fit our liking.

The ship looks great but it still has the feeling of a upgraded oasis class Also with the category 6 water park, aren’t RC cannibalizing the market for thrill water park on coco cay? All these rides on the ship are rides on the island, so what’s the point of paying for the thrill water park if I can just get the same experience on the ship for free?

It might be a big water park for a ship (and it is) but it's miniscule compared to a proper water park.

I'm disappointed this ship won't have a Solarium. I'd be happy to get rid of the Aquatheater to keep a Solarium on this ship. Having that Solarium is make or break for me so I'm going to skip this ship and stick with the Oasis class.
